Hi ladies

Sarah woke up at 12 for a feed. Put her back to bed, she is fast asleep. It is now 2.30 and I am wide awake

So on Friday the builders knocked down part of our roof, above our bedroom. A bit of the cement and dust fell through onto our bed. So last night I decided that it would be best not to sleep in our room. So little Sarah slept in her cot, i slept on the couch and DH is in our bed still. Perhaps that is why I am struggling to sleep. She is doing so well on her own in the cot, I am so proud, but I miss her being with me..

We are still struggling with winds, she seems to be vomiting much in the morning feeds and then in the afternoon starts to be very niggly and can't sleep for long periods, until about 8 or 9pm when she sleeps till 12 midnight or so.
Do your ones get the afternoon niggles, what do you do to help?

Anje you are so lucky to be able to take baby to work. Sarah will have to go to daycare. I will miss her so much.

Missesmom- who do you get to make the christening outfit? I see so many pretty ones in the shops, but they are all short sleeved.
The fairy garden party sounds Devine. I am sure Em is going to love it.
We are taking my Dad to the Spur for fathers day- lol Shame not much of a treat for him, but with 10 grandchildren, 9 aged 8 and under, I don't think any other dining venue would want us. We normally go to the driftwood in Parklands which has a lovely play area,but I think the weather is going to be cold and it is probably going to be warmer and better for little Sarah inside.


Kimika- enjoy the "time off" at MIL
Took M to the dr this morning. He has a temp of 39. You would never say, because he I'd his usual self. But is a bit chesty with a croup like cough. The builders removed our satellite dish so no Telly has been boring.

Hey Kimika, how's the long week-end going?
We're doing a fairy garden theme for her birthday this year. Going to be So much fun. I'm going to make a little "garden, with hidden bubble machine, and fairy lights etc, I've hired some "fairies to come and take the kids on a treasure hunt and do face painting etc.
For the party packs I've got fairy wings and wands for the girls - with a pink bag of sweeties. Then for the boys Ive got those goggo boxes that I'll put sweeties in.
Hoping that Vix can make the girls fairy outfits, also want Kate to be dressed up

What is everyones plan for Fathers Day tomorrow?
We're taking the dads to breakfast and then a movie, and then a braai in the afternoon with everyone.

Amazing that the milkies absorb so well.. yours must be super rich and no excess water I sent you an email long ago with such a cute pose for twins.. dont know if you will be able to adapt it for trips! You must have had such a huge scare in the road!! Im always so scared P will do something like that too.. they forget the danger with their little scatterbrains.

Betty, Sorry about S tummy cramps, but glad the probiflora helped! Party seems to be sorted now, I am just designing the invites and will make them next week. Now moving onto sorting out the Christening. I need to get Em's dress out and see if it will fit Kate. Otherwise will need to make a new one for her.

Lucy and Misty, the Karma button is what you press if you like someones post - much like the "like" button on facebook, but a person can get Karma, or lose Karma.

Lucy, Kate only gets a rash on her bum if I put her in a disposable, never with her cloth nappies. Also what I have found is I never have poop going up her back in cloth, again only in disposable. What I do now is put some liners in the disposable if I need her to wear one. Thanks for letting me borrow your idea Will post pics once they are done.

Joli, yip I am very much like my gran and dad, we cant sit still and we love being busy and doing things for people. I also recall Ems birth, every detail, how I felt, and now I look at her sleeping at night and wonder how they hell she got so big! I still think of myself at a highschool girl. Really strange sometimes.
Ya, being a WFHM is not easy, and people seem to think you have all the time in the world, but you actually need to work. I mean I wouldn't trade it for anything, I love being home with my girls, but will be getting a nanny in for Kate, cause I dont like feeling like I'm neglecting her.

Schatsie, nice to hear from you again. And remember there is no such thing as a BF baby who is too fat! Look at kate, she must be 7kg now, and the nurse says its the most wonderful thing she has seen!

Meags, I'm glad you have found someone to give your milk too! Wonderful that it will go to someone in need.
Those photos are lovely!! I really need to book our family shoot again soon, just waiting for Kate to smile a tad more so I can get that on camera

Claire, hope you have had better nights sleep since you were last online.

AFM, Yesterday we went to play board games for charity. Was alot of fun! And then dinner at my inlaws.
Today DH and I are going for ot stone massages, then lunch with old family friends, then people around for D&D. I have just made a banana cream pie for pudding, and making chilli con carne soup for supper.
On wednesday night Kate and Em just didn't want to go to sleep! Mat was working late for the 3rd night and Em refused to go to sleep till he got home and of course Kate seemed to be doing the same. So DH got home at 9:30 and I was finished! So I just handed Kate to him and rolled over in bed. Next thing I woke up and it was 6am! DH had defrosted a bottle of EBM given Kate a feed, rocked her to sleep, and cuddled her in the bed. It was so wonderful, I felt like a new women

RE the jabs, L had her jabs at Wilgers Hospital at the clinic and the nurse there didn't want me to hold or stand too close to L because she said she didn't want L to see me and associate the pain with me. So I stood back and before each jab the nurse prayed for L (I started crying), I wasn't expecting that at all. As soon as she finished with the jabs, I was allowed to pick L up and hold her. I will definitely go back to her.

Hi Ladies,

Hope you are all well !!

I am back at work, started the 1st of June, the temp in my place just didn't pitch at the end of April, so there is a lot of work to catch up on. Luckily I can bring L to work with me. I do think being back at work is a good thing, because it kinda forced a new routine on us. The first couple of days were rough, but now L sleeps from 08h00 to 11h00 and then she will feed, be awake for app 45 min, sometimes feed again and then sleep for 2 -3 hours. After that she will get a little difficult, but then I just put her in the sling against my body and she will be ok, but sometimes she will just moan until we go home, with feeds in between of course. When we get home it usually starts with a feed, playtime with daddy, feed and 1 hour sleep. After that it is bath time, feed and bed. She sleeps really well during the night, usually she will wake only once for a feed. We luckily never had a problem with the night sleep, except for the first few weeks when she hardly slept at all. She is doing much better now. She is smiling and laughing and I am loving her everyday just a little bit more. The expressing is just really hard during the day at work, but I am going to try and keep it up for as long as possible. L is drinking from the bottle during the day and boob when at home and no probs.

I only read this page, but will try to do a couple more.

Meags, I read on facebook that you are still struggling. I hope you get it all sorted soon.

I cannot believe the time has passed so quickly and all our babies are so big already.

MistyMom- those ankle guards are too cute, and how useful, little socks are always falling off.
The Babygym is in Sandpiper Cres, Flamingo Vlei. It is a 5 week course and costs R630,00. The first class is Tuesday and then a 2 week break for school holidays. The lady who runs it is Jocelyn e-mail jocelyn.purchase@babygym.co.za cel 0834424127.

Hope the weather is not too bad today so we can go to tea at the clinic.
Sarah was much better yesterday, the tummy cramps from the night before were so bad, so woke up screaming.

I managed to express 60mls inbetween her feeds and gave her a probiflora with the EBM which helped. She made a huge poo later
that afternoon and we never had the evening fretting and screaming. Going to give her another one today.
