Claire, he is so cute!!!

Pead told me no Panado (or anything similar) before or after vaccinations. Did any of you also get this info? LG luckily was fine without it.

Meags - I agree with your dh, not cool to do the deed with baba in the room lol. shame about kitty, really hope its not cancer, that would be so terrible. glad you are getting help, I worried about you when you were still preggy and you have been through a lot in the last 4 months and have a fussy baba which is so draining - trust me I understand. try white noise for Matt for the waking up in between sleeps, it helps my guy sometimes.

Joli - I got the emla cream with the patch so will ask the nurse to inject through the patch, I already have such a sensitive baby so any preventative measure will help ;) but thanks.. Wow 3 weeks no poo is crazy? would like to know what the nurse says...

Lucy - I love your photos, you really are enjoying your little princess hey. I am doing better, finally feeling like R is not just an eat sleep poop machine, he gives me really gorgeous smiles and it really makes it worthwhile. I also get the cooing and stuff so yeah its getting better.... dh is on standby so dreading this week because its so unpredictable with calls and work.

Here is my favourite pic of Mr : (Meags they are on fb)

Hi ladies!!

Wow you all chatted a lot - I kept up on my phone but have only got a chance now to write and I cant scroll down that far...

All the pics posted are divine :) Loving them!
We had a family photo shoot today so will post pics once I get them.
Lucy you are inspiring me to try a shoot with Matt should he play along...

Kimika it definitely sounds normal that Reuben is stretching feeds. Remember at first they get tired from sucking and therefore feed more frequently as they take in less each feed. As they get bigger their sucking is stronger and they can easily get a full feed in 5 minutes whereas a month or 2 ago that same feed took 20 minutes.

Joli I would definitely ask about the poo - 3 weeks is LONG even for a BF baby!!

Claire did I miss photos of your precious???? Please post some!!!

Hi everyone else :)

So yes we had a family photo shoot today. It was raining a bit which wasnt ideal but the shoot has been cancelled every week for the last month.
DH and I finally did the deed after a LONG 6 months!!! Flip it was SORE!!!!! Felt like a virgin all over again
Quite funny as Matt was asleep in the swing in our room and DH made me move him to his room - said its not right to do that with the baby there! haha

Are your babies crying in their sleep?? Matt has started doing that the last week and its waking him up :( especially during the night!!!! He is doing that and its between feeds and therefore instead of me waking around 12ish, 3ish and 6ish I am waking those times PLUS inbetween those times. I am DEAD tired.

Matt is so fussy and particular. He only smiles and 'talks' to me and DH. when we are around people he is SO serious!!!! He has not once smiled for the friends here. Also if you are holding him, Lord help you if you so much as move him an inch. If he is not crying, you do not move. At all. because if you do, he starts crying and something is impossible to stop. It is so weird and quite frustrating. As soon as I pass him to DH or DH gives him to me, he cries because we are moving him. He does not like to be held lying in your arm or against you. He just wants to face outwards.
Hands still in his mouth all day long. Even at night the minute I unswaddle him to change his nappy, his hands go straight to his mouth and he sucks frantically. Makes the funniest sounds!!
I only change his nappy at the midnight feed. Then I leave him until the 6/7am feed to change again so the 3am feed he goes to sleep as is.
Everyone says around 3 months they begin to 'settle'. Well I dont see that happening. Will be a miracle if he even settles around the 4 month mark. I am so drained. He is such hard work ALL day every day. There is not one day where he is just an easy baby.

I am seeing a doctor this week for PND. I need to take something as I feel I am unfair to Matt. I have nothing positive to say to him when people comment on him or ask how motherhood is. At the vet the receptionist asked if he was my first. I ended up telling her how hard it is, how tired I am, never thought it would be this difficult etc etc. Think she was quite shocked by my response!
Plus even when he hardly cries all day, the minute he does cry, I am instantly frustrated beyond belief. I have zero patience for him. I am also beginning to not want to go out, sleep all day long (when Matt sleeps) and not to the washing, cooking etc. So I need to get help now. This has been building up for too long.

The milk situation...well DH said this morning he had a massive poo that was kind of like diarrhoea. So now I'm at a loss as he is on soy...so if he is getting diarrhoea on the soy too...then I have no idea what the problem is! Anyway he sometimes finishes a bottle, but mostly not. If he takes 90ml I leave him. (and often he does take atleast 90ml). At night its impossible to get him to drink properly. He is so sleepy! last night I unwrapped him and turned on all the lights and he was still asleep....
Tonight he drank 200ml! I am VERY chuffed and PRAYING he goes until around 2am so I can get a decent sleep. I am always hopeful though and he never sleeps later than 12:15...

I asked DH to mount a wall shelf thingy I bought. WHAT A NIGHTMARE!!!! I dunno why but he seemed in a bad mood, then the bloody thing wouldnt line up with the holes he drilled so he just drilled wherever...agg man it was all skew and eventually he threw the screwdriver down and walked away  I hate things that are half done...so I suppose tomorrow I am going to sit and try to mount the thing along which I'm sure is going to be virtually impossible...yet I will sit there and suffer and try EVERYTHING to get it right...eish I am stubborn that way...

Friday night I sat and mounted a bookshelf we got delivered. Took 90 minutes but hey...It had to be done and I didnt want to wait for DH to do it. It's such a cool bookcase...will post pictures tomorrow.

What else can I tell you....

oh yes!! Bloody Bling....
so last weekend we went to the vet to vaccinate them as DH was off from work so he could help me. Bling had a tiny scab on his nose which I thought nothing of since he is always scratched from fighting or whatever.
Well the next day it was all over his nose and spread right next to the eye...fine...I will see how it goes. The next day it was no worse so I decided to leave it to heal. By Thursday it really wasnt looking better or worse...Friday it had spread to the corners of his mouth so I decide he must go back to the vet. So I put Matt in the sling and off we go to the vet with Bling. The vet seems to think it could be an allergy (who knows to what) but then notices its on the inside of his ears too which he is now showing exact symptoms of an auto immune disease....sigh...and then he tells me since his nose is white, he is susceptible for cancer and this could be the beginning of it!!!
Anyway he is due for his next leukemia booster shot in 10 days so the vet will do a follow up then. for now he got a cortisone injection to see if it helps for an allergy. he says it will take about 10 days to clear so perfect timing for the follow up and leukemia booster. friggin cat!!! Shame he looks so ugly...will post a pic tomorrow too!!

ok I am so tired....8:40pm here and think I'll climb into bed soon and imagine if I get a straight 4 hours to sleep before Matt wakes!!! That would be pure heaven...and maybe pure dreaming on my side!!!

Aww Lucy, she is so gorgeous.. a reall little model :) She looks great with pearls ;)

Joli, good luck with the jabs tomorrow.. hope he is ok! Yes ask the clinic sister about the pooing!! I also think 5months is a good age.

Claire.. hehe.. I actually fed him about twice when we were there but each time he did speedfeeds! lol.. he started his funny feeding the day before our meet.

Tazzy, ahh those one eye nappies are the worst! I actually find myself falling asleep while doing it.. Im really bad with midnight feeds/nappy changes. I actually havent been changing R's nappy at night since he was about 8wks! .. dont even get me going on the weight issue again.. havent you noticed my ticker has been standing still for the last 3 weeks?? ;)
