Lucy I think that's such an awesome idea re the slide with you scan :-). Well I've been with my previous company for 9 years. Was also much easier telling them.

I must admit I loved my Nuk bottles. Both my girls had Nuk bottles and when Megan was born we got those pink ones - one of the reasons I wanted to know the sex he he. But then again, I don't think the Nuk helped with Kayla's teeth. She's 7 now and most of her adult teeth are out and they are far from straight, although she had perfect baby teeth, so ya she will need braces as soon as she can get them. I'm gonna try get them before high school. Is is sore wearing braces Lucy??

Meags - You are right it is a miracle and I am touched and honoured to be in the position I am in! Thanks for all the baby bottle advice (it is a real bonus being on a thread with a midwife ..... must have plotted it this way ..... seriously though, THANK YOU!) I will be breast feeding but will need to wean fairly soon as I am going back to work. I will also NOT be comfortable BFing in public!!! I think the starter kits only have 4 bottles in them so if I get one I think I will be OK for the first 6 weeks. I was thinking either NUK or Pigeon as these claim to be best orthodontically and that is NB to me as I have just had my braces off and still sleep with a retainer :(

Kimika - What time is your scan ...... good luck and thinking of you! How is your Dad?

Joli and Mommy Jess - I feel so bad for you guys stressing about telling work! I am excited to tell work, I am in jozi next week and I have a presentation to my team on tuesday, I am thinking of making my last slide my scan, that I'll have on monday!! It does help that I have been with the company for 10 years in october :)

Rakker - I am glad you got a chance to recuperate ..... so NB in this part of pregnancy.

Kaylae - I think it was you asking about thrush, my doc gave me medaspor and said it was safe in pregnancy! Some of them are not safe so be careful! I don't know about the one that was mentioned earlier.

Jessica - B - Thanks for the chuckle!

Meags - Any luck tracking down Meemo?

Hi Rakker!!!
Glad you feeling a little better :)

Joli, we dont get to choose I suppose...but little girls are so cute and you can buy the cutest clothes and things for them!!

As for the movements, remember even though it's your third baby, it is early to feel movements. I know on the Jan/Feb thread some second time moms even at 18 weeks still couldnt feel much but I know...we worry so much!!! Guess it just shows how in love we are with our babies already :)

I actually honestly still cant believe WE (DH and I) have been selected out of so many people to be parents!!!! I cant believe we are having a BABY!! Everything still seems so unreal and dreamy. Every single day I thank God for this miracle - it's just so amazing!!

Hi girls! Sorry about being MIA. Read all, but kept a low profile. Was booked of by my very cool doctor for 3 days to rest. I only took two off in the end as I got worried about issues at work.

Also went for a quick scan during my time off and could see the heart beat, which was cool. Morning sickness a little better, but still on Vomifene. The rest deffinitely helped for the fatigue.

Nice seeing all the scan pics and belly pics. Will post some of my own after the next scan, in 2 weeks time.

Sad sad sad about SH. I try not to think of it too much, because if I start crying now I'm never going to stop.

To all: Good luck with all the "boss isssues". Enjoy the scans. Good luck with the morning sickness, heart burn, fatigue, itchiness etc. And of course, look after yourselves. (Sorry, much easier than personals ).

Mommy-jess. Just after I started at this company, I asked my boss re our previous receptionist (she took them to CCMA) and I'm curious so wanted to know what happened. So he told me that she was on contract and when she started she had a tiny baby and then he carried on about he just can't understand how women can leave their children to work  , so I told him, but not all of us can afford not to work, so he said that he can understand a woman leaving her child at age 2 etc, but then just carried on how wrong it is to leave a small baby to work! So ya. It won't be easy telling him. But ya, so be it ne. Hopefully I won't be coming back here anyways. Hold thumbs for me!

Meags it's true, but it's so sad man. I can't keep wondering whether my bean is doing OK. I'm so nervous now. And I can't feel any movement and now all of a sudden my tummy looks smaller. I think I'm really paranoid now! So maybe I'm just going to keep quiet about my pregnancy until I've been to the gynae at 17 weeks and if all is fine, then tell the boss.

LOL Meags - I also can't make up my mind whether I'm more for a girl or a boy. I really won't mind another girly, but I think DH is really set on a little boy this time around. But ya, we can't really choose ne.

Joli - yes I did try, I called in and said "one of my friends" bla bla and the wonam kinda attacked me on the other side, so i'll just contact the broker again and chat to her. I really do not know what I am going to do if they will not cover....

as for telling your boss, technically, he can do nothing. but I'm sure your boss is not a troll like mine....lol

Kaylea - If you go to west pack at lifestyle, just off beyers, you get bags of sea salt for like R5. its really cheap there...
I am also looking forward to my 12 week scan and then whopa! 2nd trimester.

Jessica - LMAO!!!! I wish I could tell him to eat shit....lol

anyway. have a good day, chat later again.
