oh I also wanted to say that we should also try not to worry about our babies because a twin pregnancy is considered high risk. SH's were identical which is also risky as if anything happens to 1 baby, it's likely to affect the other.
so considering we all have just 1 baby, we can be thankful for being lower risk

hi ladies

kimika how is your dad????????
kaylae, have replied to your inbox.
joli - tell your boss!!
mistymom - depends if you will be expressing at all. some mommies like to express the evening feed so daddy can feed the baby and still feel involved (but again - dont do this before 6 weeks).
others express a lot as they go back to work.
so you may only need 2 bottles or you may need 8!!
also depends if you are comfortable BF in public or if you'd rather express and bottle feed.
so many decisions :)

I am also stuck on BF for the weightloss!!! heard it works wonders.
my pubic bone is sore today when I walk. baby must be moving up or something.

I am also a little scared of SH and also want another scan!!
The one doctor at work told me to come for all my major scans as he wants to monitor me for his own interest so I think I will go next Wednesday as it's the only day he's there and also just to get that peace of mind. and it seems we will do the 4D scan before my next gynae appointment as DH will most likely be away to see the gender.

I initially so wanted a boy. convinced it is a boy and now suddenly I realised I just so badly want a boy for DH but I really want a girl!!!

hello hello!

On the subject of bottles - I bought the NUK starter kit and used that from the start with my son - didn't have any issues with it. What I did do though is check the size of the teats because formula is quite thick (I had to give a supplement feed because he was drinking too much) I used the medium teat and the small opening teat for water/rooibos tea. NUK dummies also for me. But this time I'm going to persevere with the BF - not give up so easy. That comment earlier is true - babies get lazy to drink from the boob because the bottle is so much easier, thats why my son stopped breast feediing.

Mommy-jess - I'm sorry that your boss is being such a prick! By the sounds of it you didn't ask him for any maternity benefits anyway so if I were you I would tell him to eat $hit.

mmmm what else was there???

Thank you mommy-jess will go buy it.Today I used savlon in my water. With my first pregnancy I had a lot plus discharges and though it is normal as the dr never panicked but now reading SH's story I am cautious.

Mommy-jess tell me about unplanned pregnancies and finances eish disaster.luckly my LG's stuff are still strong will just have to bdget for formula and disposals something that you cannot be accurate with.

I cannot wait to reach my 13 weeks mark.....Same here Joli haven't told my boss not that it will be a problem,I am permanent and allowed 4 months paid leave, just not ready yet as my own parents do not know but the belly is reporting since I am a flat stomach most are suspicious but they must die with suspicion.   I hide behind beggy jackets even though it is getting hot these days

mommy-jess - yes this thing with SH is also getting to me. I keep telling myself just to stay calm, but now I want another scan! I burst into tears so many times yesterday just thinking what that woman is going through and I don't even know here. It's just too sad.

Did you try call the medical aid re the birth etc.? What you gonna do if they won't cover the birth?

Well I STILL didn't tell my boss re my pregnancy. I'm wearing really baggy shirts and hide behind my table LOL, but I will have to just do it. I know that he won't be too impressed with it, but so be it. I've only been here for 8 months as well. Will also get unpaid leave, which is fine with me. I didn't' get paid with with my other two pregnancies either. At least I've got my photography to keep my going, so will be shooting again when baby is 2 / 3 week old.

Morning ladies!

sho lots of "drama" going on hey? lol

How is everyone feeling today? I am so tired, MS has been kind to me, have not had it much this week, think only once and that was Monday. hmmm having some oats now, with some butter, lol tired of marge.....

This thing with SH has gotten me rather worried about my own pregnancy, my freaking med. aid refuses to pay for the Blood tests and I have not budgeted the R800.00 for them, grrr sometines unplanned pregnancies are not so cool, especially on the pocket.lol

I found out yesterday that my boss is not too "impressed" that i'm pregnant cause now it is an inconviniance for him, cause after my 6 month probabtion, he wanted to ,as he put it "get rid of me" and now he is refusing to give me anything for maternaty leave, I am fine with that, I knew I would have had to take unpaid leave, but just the nastyness about this whole thing.I mean I honnestly enjoy my job and the people I work with and always thought, jus, Eric - my boss- is such a nice and understanding person, ya right.
so DF and I said i'll just "lay low" till I go on Maternaty leave and then look for something else, where I will be appreciated for who and what I am. in any way, before I go on maternaty leave I would have been here a year anyway.

as for Thrush, I get it on a regular basis, I use Candizole, you can get it over the counter and it is stunning, I also put sea salt in my bath water if I have it, and that works wonders too. :)

Ok Mommies, lets have a good day and just take it easy! Tomorrow is Friday!!!!!!

Kimika sorry to hear about your dad's hand and your sister's project.

I would ask the gynae what's up. Megan was due over xmas and I went to my midwife all along and she never mentioned anything until two weeks before I was due to give birth and then she told me that she would be on leave over xmas and new year's and that I would have to use the stand in midwife. I was furious off course, but nothing I could do. And that midwife that make me feel a bit uncomfortable during labour. If she's not going to be available, you can at least now start looking for someone.

He he girls re the bottles. I can see what you mean, but I still won't be buying different bottles. Baby must take what he / she gets. I'm an awful mommy! Like hubby said, it's not like they get to choose the type of boob they want. I'm also going to try and breastfeed for a while, but will see how it goes. Don't think it will be for like a year or so, probably about 6 months.
