Meags thanks. I don't have r460 to take him to the paed. He is going for injections next week. As soon as i have a name and number of a chiro for now. Once i have money ill take him to the paed. A lady looked after him last night for an hour and a half and worked magic with him. She told me its all wind and he wasn't blue cos she got it out of him. He didn't cry at all and last night he slept from 10pm til 5am and didn't wake up just like the previous night.

Missesmom - I bought quite a lot of stuff from doodle bums but the postage was making it a bit too expensive. The cherub tree agent is in durbs and she was the first person I made contact with. But will get the odds and ends from Celeste. I also use the bambo nappies, find them way better than pampers! I got mine from Celeste but I see you can get them at checkers pharmacy too. I will also still use them when going out. Please share any tips!

Oh I forgot to add that re the govt vs private route for the vaccinations, we ended up going a "mixed" route. The sister was quite willing to give us the govt stuff altho it was at a private clinic, except that they didn't have stock of one of the injections, so we had to pay R380 for that one. Plus R80 per each item x 4, so it was a total of R700. Not bad for having been to a lovely private clinic and not having waited at all.

Hi ladies

A was very good this morning with the jabs - he only cried loudly for a few secs, but I was freaked out anyway and let DH stay with him and waited outside. Not that it helped much since I could still hear him. He slept quite a lot afterwards and has been a bit niggly and has a little bit of fever, but we gave him Panado infant drops as the sister recommended and it seems to help a bit.

Missesmom pity I only saw your comment re the Emla cream when I returned.

I took him to my office this afternoon to meet my colleagues. They all oohed and aahed about him and wanted to pick him up, but he was a bit difficult and crying quite a bit, probably due to the jabs. It was really nice seeing my colleagues and they were all going on about how much they miss me - I have no idea what the temp is doing wrong, but they don't seem to like him much. Strange since I always think I'm a complete slave driver as I always set really tough targets for them. My boss said she's counting the seconds until I come back, so it really doesn't seem that she'll bite for my idea of only going back mid July instead of 1 July.

Meags I'm with you re being quite a laid back mom! I actually thought I might be more tense, with him being my first baby, but I'm really not. If his dummy falls I just put it back in. OK, not if it happens in a shop or something, but around the house, etc.. And if I do rinse it, it's only in normal water - I don't sterilise it. I also don't mind people picking him up. We just believe that he should rather be exposed to germs than live this overly protected life and not be allowed to do anything.

Faw I haven't taken A to a chiro. I was thinking of taking him for BSR because my BSR practitioner said I should bring him ASAP and she'll give him a free consult, but I haven't managed to get there yet. Will maybe try and make a plan next week.

I went to see Jesus C Superstar with my friend tonight. She got tickets and invited me along, so DH stayed with A. It was my first outing without A and I must say I really missed him!

Faw the chances are she wouldnt give the baby up for adoption. It is easier for people to abort then let go of a full term baby once alive...

Also, if Abdul is blue around the mouth you need to get him a paed check up urgently.
My paed said often babies that cry A LOT have heart conditions as they are stressed from not being able to get enough oxygen and since you are saying he is blue around the mouth - its another indication there could be problems. Not saying there is...but I know my paed listens to M's heart for AGES each time I go and complain that he cries so much

Missesmom/schatsie please can you give me the name and number of that wonderful baby chiro. lady. I think 3 weeks of hell is enough. My mom said all abdul did the whole day was scream. and he is blue around the mouth all the time no matter what i or my mom does.
Kimika there are loads of childless couples who im sure would be happy to take the baby once its born. Speak to a few adoption agencies and see what they say before she has the abortion and then let her decide.
Its very late now so im going to bed now. Gotta be up at 5am and i get home around 6pm.. Its so very long. And tonight i walked in at 8pm because i did some market research for the blue route mall, they are doing it up and wanted ideas on shops etc. That place will be just as good as cavendish by the time they are finished next year with underground parking too.

Shame Anje I cant imagine if Matt never slept in the day I'd go crazy. I dont like holding him ALL day...

We went out today to a mom and baby meeting. was nice. there was a lady with twins (14 months old). Ok I dunno if its just me...But people are so finicky with their kids!!!

I am totally not concerned about germs...maybe I should be. If the dummy falls on the floor I just check its not dirty and straight back into his mouth...yes its gross. but it's that or a screaming baby if I'm out and dont have a spare one. Today the lady with the twins wouldnt let them out the pram as she said she didnt want them crawling all over the dirty floor....and she was only letting them eat organic spinach puffs....I would have let Matt wander around - especially if he was getting all upset and frustrated in the pram like they were...is it just me? or would you ladies also be a little more laid back?

I tried Matt on anti-reflux formula. he wont drink it. So I mixed half with breastmilk. he drinks it but is now vomiting during feeds. last night he projectile vomitted all over me....he wasnt a vomitter before...so so much for anti-reflux formula...

He is exhausted. he didnt sleep while we were out so he's sleeping in the swing...But we need to go out again now so he"ll have to wake.

schatsie how were the jabs?? hope your procedure goes well on Friday xx

Faw - I hope you get your 18 sales. I will ask my cousin if she's interested. But I'm not sure as she is super busy with work so she may find it a waste...but will ask her anyway.
