Absolutely Angie. Far too much time is wasted arguing about this when there are so many other things to worry about.

I always see childbirth as like a wedding. The wedding is important but the marriage is what you should be concentrating on. In other words focus on your baby.

LG born at Milnerton MC on the 09/12/2009 by emergency c-section.

I guess it is the most important thing you will do in your life. The birth that is so yes that day was the most important for me. Ya ya I know being a mom is too ,but I get to do that daily.

Your birth story is just that. I remember my mom telling me her birth stories and how special they were.

Be proud of your birth regardless of how it was achieved. Mine was a dark comedy, but it led me to where I am now and has given me the most amazing opportunity which I will embark on soon.

And most importantly lets not forget the mom who posted this thread. She needs your support and help.

Mom of Dylan and Partner to Joerg. We live in the Beautiful Pringle Bay which is along the Whale coast, Cape.

Heheheehe yeah, the topic of natural vs c-sect always tend to get a bit heated teh further you go. Same as teh topic of pro-life vs pro-choice blahblahblah. AGAIN, I do not expect a pat on the back for my choices, but I also expect not be treated differently.

Maybe we should all try to just answer Hope's questions so she can make a decision on what will be best for her instead of having a go at each other and dishing out trophies?

"I really don't understand why people get so defensive about this topic" Ditto Kirsten!

I must say this has really become a heavy discussion, which I think has also been thrown a bit way over board!
I also had a c-section, and I am proud of it, and it was a amazing and beautiful experience! I have an amazing bond with my LB and he is a healthy boy!
I really don't know why, when people see you have a baby they have to ask you, Oh did you give natural birth or did you have a c-sec???? WTF - does it really matter!

Is it not about the babies! Shouldn't we all be happy and feel blessed because our babies are healthy and thriving???????? - AND NOT WORRY HOW THEY CAME INTO THIS WORLD?????? (Just my 2cents)!

Morning ladies!

Goodness gracious me! Why all the sensitive and unneccessary "bitchiness" here! Eish....

I am a first time mom to be and this topic is the biggest one I am struggling with.

Funny enough, my gynae is pro natural for a change!! :woohoo:

But I still have not made up my mind in regards to going natural with epidural (I am not going without pain meds thank you) or c-sec.

Most of my friends had c-secs by choice and so far I am leaning towards going natural with epidural, but I feel that this specific blog shows that sometimes you are judged if you do a csec for convenience sake. And I find that a bit sad and harsh. But that is just my 2c worth.

This topic should be an informative one and not a emotional personal flinging of ideas ladies :-) as for 1st time mosm to be I am looking for information that will help me make a good choice!

Toodels ;)
