As Admin, I would like to place a ban on the use of the words "just my 2cents worth" with inflation being what it is, you need to have an opinion of atleast R20!

Thanks so much :D

I am pro-choice. But I did not feel this way before my son.

I was induced and ended up having an emergency c-section. I wanted to birth him naturally with no drugs.

I was totally against c-sections before that. But I feel I have no less of a bond with my boy than a mom who had natural birth. Now that I have tried the c-section route I would still like to try natural birth.

Ok...Just to clear up the fence I am on.

I am referring to all decisions made like elective ceaser where you are medically able to birth a baby naturally and/ or you are able to breastfeed, but choose not to because your breast wont be the same again etc...There is a lady at my place of work who said the following: " I was born to mother a baby, but not to be pregnant with one, too posh too push and will NEVER breastfeed" - she CHOSE this, not for medical reasons, but because she WANTED to. I must say I do applaud her for ADMITTING that she did it all for "shelfish" reasons.

I am just sick and tired of people, ELECTIVE C-SEC mommies always trying to make as though birthing a baby is NOT the most natural thing to do.

FYI: Also just want to mention, that I currently have a high risk prenancy and there is / was always a possibility of a c-sec...DID I SAY NO BECAUSE I WANT NATURAL....definitely not and if it so happens that it will be best for my baby then so be it, BUT at the moment there is no MEDICAL reason and therefore I still have a natural birthplan. Like I said before and I will do again. c-sec is a solution to a problem, if I dont have any problems, NATURAL it will be.

I truly hope that one day, ELECTIVE c-sec moms can just be as my colleague and admit to the reasons they chose a c-sec and stop making as though it is best for baby and for them, because it is not.
