Thanks for your candid opinion though, its really helped to open up my eyes. I shall expect the worst and should I get the opposite then I will be very pleased!

I must say though I am very sad that I am not looking forward to this experience at all, especially when I consider how long I waited for this little man's arrival

But like someone else said, its not how he gets here, just that he is here at all! So I will concentrate on my baby and leave the fear at the hospital door.

Tiv it's not that bad really. I am also not the bare all type but the sisters are very matter of fact and to be honest by day two it doesn't feel likesuch a big thing. In fact on day 3 a male doctor I'd not seen before walked into my pvt room, introduced himself as dr X and asked to check my scar so I duly lifted the sheet. He paused, looked at me, looked at the name above my bed and said "oh I'm so sorry, I'm looking for Mrs Morris. You're dr so and so's patient." I was mortified. Clearly I'd embraced the "leave your inhibitions at the door" ideal a but TOO much and was just blithely showing my lady bits to complete strangers with gay abandon!!

From day 2 I wore a spaghetti strap top from woolies with built in support and some preggie sweatpants/shorts. The wards are very hot and it was easier to just pull my top down and whip my boob out for baby than taking off tshirts etc. I put a shirt over when visitors came.

1st time mom/RM/julz thanks for the read...i had flashbacks (more than one - from my naked whoohoo to the pad changes to feeling like a sack of patatoes) and a (real) good laugh just now, cos that is how my c-sec was...mmm just like yours AND it was all normal...thanx for the naked truth of having a c-sec!!
