Still no AF, am a bit frustrated, CD30. Every thing is just upsetting me including my work, like yesterday i found how much the new BA is getting paid. I felt so sick cause she knows nothing no qualification, am so tired of this job. I work like a slave for nothing, life is just not fair.

AI / IUI - artificial insemiation / intra-uterine insemination.
The trigger shot times ovulation better. In that once the shot is given you have an idea that you will O within 36 to 48 hrs. AI is usually done 36 hours after the trigger.
The shot also helps to mature the follicles and soften the lining for implantation.

I think the FS preferred the shot this cycle, maybe because the follies were a good size and the LH was still low, with previous cycles the follies were getting bigger- over 25mm and Iovulated only at about CD16, maybe the follies quality wasn't good.
This is a guessing game.

I trust the FS completely and have surrendered myself to the process.
It's is beyond my control and wht will be will be.
Am starting to consider IVF, simply because at 42, time is not on my side.

Carmen – it’s either CD14 or 15. Last month it was CD14. I’m just wondering whether these hectic ovulation pains are going to affect anything though.

What is AI? Not quite sure how everything fits together where you are concerned. Why do you need the trigger shot when you ovulate anyway?

I will be joining you soon enough so I hear you re those distractions! In fact we will be testing around the same time...

Hi all
Any news FG?
Jay - TTC is not for the faint hearted. fxfx that AF stays away and you get a BFP
Juno - happy bd'ing - do you Ovulate round about CD15- good luck!
GW - so true I also think bd'ing puts pressure on the couple not just the DH. Especially when you are so tired.

AFM - I feel a little down, no idea why- maybe just tired.
We did AI yesterday- so I'm in the tww- I can test 9 May. hope to BD tonight and tomorrow. Wish I was working near home today- could have gone home for some bd'ing. But I'm 50km's away and not the usual about 15km. With the trigger shot one normally Ovulates 36 to 48 hours after the shot. Took the shot 10pm on Monday night. So would have ovulated by last night.

I'm going to need a distraction during this TWW!!!!!

Sticky baby dust everyone!

Jay - When one doesn't fall pregnant as soon as what you perceive others do, one can easily start a guilt trip of note. One starts to think about all things that one should or shouldn't have done and this has caused me anxiety as well...I have done this too, but it is just a can of worms with no solution.

I was thinking the other day maybe i should have never gotten to take birth control after my son was born, but i am sure i would not have coped well if i had fallan pregnat a few months after that. This TTC just brings a person so down, i remember 1 month i broke down cried non stop as to why must i struggle to fall pregnant where there's a lot of women out there who don't even want their pregnancies, but yah life is a b....h

Jay - Sorry to hear

I wouldn't be too concerned about the price of the test, If the control line appeared then I think you can assume the test was successful. I have used those really cheap tests that cost R5 per test, the dipstick ones and they all work the same. There are certain brands that are more sensitive than others but by the time AF is due, I am almost sure that most brands will pick up a pregnancy even just a very faint line.
Perhaps do test again if by saturday Af doesn't show, but I wouldn't bother with the fancy tests with bells and whistles...
