Well today CD29, and i could not hold for long and it was a BFN. But still no AF, i thought my cycles were on track as for the past 6 months i have had a 28 day cycle i just don't know, but i bought the cheaper HPT, if AF does not arrive by Saturday, i will have to go deep in the pocket. Aarg this is frustrating

Morning all!!

Flowergirl - I am totally with you on the stress part. A year ago I frequently had mixed up cycles and I was convinced it was due to high stress levels due to family problems. I remember the months specifically that were longer cycles was in times of extreme stress. Any news from the tests?

My sisters best friend is an Embryologist who works with IVF and she said the most important thing is to get your stress levels down. This is really difficult to hear and I think it actually causes more stress if you are already having stress!! :side:
I guess that is why I think making a point to do some form of exercise as vital as from my experience this is one of the best ways to decrease stress.

I also had very serious ovulation pains yesterday...I get it every couple of months where it is so painful I have to lie down and take a buscopan and myprodol. I am beginning to think that the extremely painful months are when I ovulate on the side with no fallopian tube.

About the article....I was reading similiar articles this week...My HB and I are also taking some strain with the TTC. I have realised that I will have to stop talking about all the TTC details since I think this really freaks men out. I also find it difficult to BD on cue, when you absolutely have to BD because you are fertile especially if all that you want to do is sleep. If ovulation falls on a weekend it is easier, but in the middle of the week while we both have pressure from work and working late nights...No fun at all. I realise now how lucky we were to fall pregnant in the first month with my LG. I think we would have been able to relax a bit more if I wasn't turning 35 next month and if I didn't have the problem of only one tube. I also keep asking myself, if my first child (which I had on 30) had a genetic bladder abnormality and deformed toes what will happen if I fall pregnant at an older age? I am probably thinking too much about everything.

Carmen - Any news?

Jay - Any news??

Shoo got left behind with all the postings..

GW what a disappointment..but at least I suppose you know exactly what the story is. Not that that makes it any easier knowing that this is a dud cycle...

FG it’s going to be interesting to hear what the results say..hope things calm down for you. Stress can affect us physiologically so easily so it most probably is at the very least a factor.

Carmen what news? Sounds pretty positive so far..

Jay keep us posted.

I’m on CD12 today and for the second time am having hectic ovulation pains and discharge – feels like AF is about to arrive. I forgot to get an OPK so will start testing from later today when I have time to go and buy one. Just been so busy at work at the mo. Not the best ttc conditions :( Would love to just take a 6month sabbatical just to focus on ttc - wouldn't we all I'm sure..

My hubby send me a rather pointed article yesterday entitled “were you obsessed with sex while trying to conceive?” and the paragraph I suspect was directed at me went like this:

“Sometimes falling pregnant isn't the easiest thing in the world. And it can become a frustration in your relationship. You're tracking
your menstrual cycle almost manically, watching what you eat, taking
multivitamins for conception and all of this madness inevitably spills
over into the bedroom. The next thing you know you're scheduling time
for sex and while at first the hubby might be all for this idea of
more sex, he may end up feeling like a sperm donor and the romance can
fly out of the window pretty fast.”

Ouch…

Hi Ladies
Am still here, but i am so lazy to type anything, but i always read the posts. Well today is one of those where i am going mad i am on CD28 and usually by this time i would start showing the brown discharge when i wipe, but there is nothing yet. The whole day is going so slow and i don't want to test cause i'd rather see AF than a bfn

Dr Siebert did it under general anaesthesia.
Recovery was normal for general anaesthesia. the first procedure I had low blood pressure and took longer to recover.
I can't remember any discomfort or pain afterward.
But you may feel discomfort from the gas that is used.
Have heard good things about Dr Hulme.

Thanks Carmen. I am actually seeing Dr Hulme. He seems nice! I'm not that concerned about the op - did you also have conscious sedation? How long did that affect you for?
