I just have 2 things to say
@ Marijke..you left the site..I did want you wanted and closed your page last night..not today, you said you wanted to leave but didn't know how to...
Writing threats like "you haven't seen nasty yet" is just plain rude..I'm not attacking you..I never have..I'm have no idea were all this aggression comes from..
You persist in being making nasty sarcastic remarks?

@Julz...what I don't understand is that you wrote you were upset because Im admin and shouldn't comment on the posts..but it seems its okay to Marijke (who is admin) to post her opinion as much as she likes..and your fine with it...is it because you she's agreeing with you?
I've always commented on the page and website and there has never been a problem..

With regards to meds...I don't agree with medicating your baby to sleep and I don't agree with the cry out method..
Im also very much into attachment parenting
My son hasn't slept through yet..but I know he will son (hoping hoping lol)

I like this topic! Was a long (but very interesting!) read!

My LG is 15 months old and haven't spent a single night in our bed! She slept in a crib next to our bed till 4 months and then I moved het to her own room and big cot. I must add though that I am one of those VERY LUCKY mommies! LG slept through from 2 months and at 4 months "things" started to get uncomfortable in the bedroom! Me and DH had a bedroom rule when doing the funky chicken that the one who wakes the baby with their "noises" is going to sit with her! Hahah! Its then I decided that she must move to her own room! And all of us got a better nights sleep! Her sleepy noises woke me up (I'm a very light sleeper) and DH trying to bring the roof down with his snoring made her restless! She even sleeps thru when sick mostly so I'm lucky. Even the few times when she woke up when really sick I dont mind going to her room and comforting her. I will pick her up and cuddle and calm her down. Takes about 15 mins all in all and I will do that for my child anytime. I must also add that even though my child havent spent a night in our bed she is a friendly, outgoing well adjusted child. We have our time in the evening when I give her her last bottle at 7.30.

I believe meds when nesscesary is fine but not to suit yourself. Sleeping late on a weekend is 8am for the latest. I accepted that the day I decided to have children. Sometimes me and DH take turns to get up and let the other one sleep.

I don't agree with cereal in the bottle either.

Emsmom that is really horrible. Must be scary for such a young child to be locked out like that. Dylan will always be welcome in our bed if he has a bad dream or feels ill, but if he is fine then I prefer having my bed to myself. He is very restless.

Kristin, I haven't even thought about that yet!

I have considered doing it on more than one occasion to get more sleep - but I don't have any baby cereals in our house

And panado, teething mixture and calpol just for teething keeps B awake for up to 3 hours in the evening. Fun times!

Marijke, I used to do it with my first born and honestly, I cant remember it making a difference. With Kyle I dont need to, he dropped his night time bottle at 9 months. He has a bottle at 18:00 and not again after that until the next morning. I dont think adding cereal will make him sleep through as he eats solids now for supper. He sleeps through if he sleeps with me.
