Hi Mommies....

I need to make an announcement - Luke got his 7th tooth today! So random I know...

Ok Bronz... Im nosey.... Wanna inbox me? Was wondering if your DH was back... You must be over the moon! As for G's weight - dont stress too much about it - I am sure he will gain weight. Unfortunately I dont have any advise on how to help G increase his appetite>.. It would be nice to make a plan to hook up so the boys can play!! Love the idea.

As for the driving - 1st lesson went very well - next lesson will be this Sunday! :) :)

ScribblingAl - have they accepted the offer? Even if the place is not child friendly - you can make it as child friendly! As for the jabs - Im going to give the sister a call just to set my mind at ease... and EEEEEK about the price!

The discipline with Luke - is going slow but I am making progress... My friend Clive told me I need to just be patient.

At home my mom and Clive are busy building a big sandpit for Luke and Heinrich as well as painting out and fixing up an outside room as a play room for the boys! Its really starting to look good! As soon as it is all done I will upload pics...

Things at home are going well - not as much tension as earlier this week (especially after my mom found out what I posted on FB - oooh she was angry)... But such is life - I too was beyond angry!!

Bronz - how long is your hubby back for?

I hardly get to go on Moomie at work lately - they restructured our Finance team at work and gave us new places to sit and one of my bosses now sits behind me! GRRRRR!!

Its gonna be wet and cold in CT tomorrow so keep warm everyone!

x

Hey ladies

I just got shouted at for being so quiet so here I am. ;)

ScribbinGal: Congrats on the house sale! When would you have to find a new place by? I love looking at houses, maybe its just me being nosey to see how other people live. We are going to have to start looking soon! Have to be out of our current place by end sept, and no option to renew as the owner is coming back from the UK to live here. There is something else in the pipeline but will inbox you. (And if any other moms want to know....)

Kanyo: Congrats on your litte baba! Too gorgeous. This makes me all broody!
Who else is going for number 2 soon?

Beansmom: I think the saying "home is where the heart is" has a lot of meaning. Good luck, you will know when you find the right place!
I think I will come through to baba indaba, just to check out all your goodies.

Baby Shoes: How is the discipline going? I find G is testing limits big time lately! I try distract as much as possible, but I do smack lightly every now and then when it is a dangerous situation. Like he kept going for the cactus (Its huge and belongs to the neighbour so cant move it) then he got a smack on the hand and it worked. We should get together, let our boys burn energy on each other.

Oh also wanted to bring up the driving. I only got mine in Nov. My biggest motivation was saying to myself what happens if something happens to Graeme and I cant get him to the doctor. Managed to think of enough bad situations and scare myself into getting it. Good luck, once its done you will wonder why you never did it sooner!

Des: I cant wait to meet this little munchkin!!! So soon!

AFM: Took Graeme for his shots on Monday, and was told he is under weight! :( Should be gaining 400grams a month and is only doing 280. And he has not been eating for about 2 weeks. So the clinic sister told me to get Pedisure, which is a meal replacement for 1-10year olds. So he gets that at night now for his last bottle. But the appetite is coming back a bit. He has been teething for the last 2 weeks pretty much. Any hints on increasing appetite? He loves his fruit sticks, so that is great!

I am loving all the walking (or should I say running?) but I must admit it is a bit crazy! The talking has slowed down but still saying all his old words, his new thing is all the animal noises.

DH is back! It was so sweet all day on Friday G was kissing him, feeding him and taking random things to him. Defiantly turning into a daddy's boy now that I dont B feed anymore.

Ok my essay is done ;)
How is every one else?

(Thank you ScribblingAl I saved my post! deleted it again)

Ha ha, "not child friendly". The house we put an offer in for (yes, all done on a whim and I doubt we'll get the bond but anyhoo) has a pool with no fence. What is child friendly, anyway? I know what you mean about wanting to pick up the house and put it in another location. We're going to be paying double the bond we're paying now just for an extra room, storage, pool and a nanny's place to stay. But it is on a very good street ;)

How is Tayla doing? Any better? It's awful when they're sick. Was it from the 15-month jabs?

@Scribblingal - congrats on the sale of your house!!! How exciting!

I'm dragging my heels with our whole process... we have only seen one house that we both loved... which all grandparents said was not child friendly... so we've put that on the backburner for now. And everything else we see is just plain sh1t! I love my house... just wish i could pick it up and move it!!! Cos then we could build on without the whole overcapatalising debarcle! Anyhoo...

My little Tayla has woken up this morning very sad, and feeling quite warm! I know she is cutting 2 teeth just in front of the molars, so i'm really hoping that is all it is! She was so clingy at Top Tots, and didn't even eat the biscuit they gave her... hate it when they are not well!

anyway - thats all i have as an update at the moment... need to get onto my newsletter for August so it can go out today still!!!

Hope you all having a good start to the new week and month!

First Baby - Tayla (girl)
Location: Northern Suburbs - Cape Town

It was good news. Bond was approved, so we need to start house-hunting ASAP.

Just as well I copied the text again.... Damn this site!

Khanyo, your "babies" are so cute. Lethabo looks like she's giving you the eye.

Well the dissertation has been submitted. What a mission!

Babyshoes, are any of the jabs really important?? I don't know; it's the MMR one, and they've had quite a few of those already. They 18-month one's a whammy - R1200!!! The clinic sister said many parents bring their babies over two months because it's so expensive. Even if they have state stock it will still be more than R800 smackeroos. Maybe that's why she said to skip this one and do the 18-month one...?

No news on the house. Good sign? Bad sign? Who knows.
