Hello ladies, and Happy Monday!

Jacadebra, so good to hear from you. I sent through the second draft last night. Waiting to hear how bad it is. But am at the point where I don't really care. Just want to see the back of it now.

Let me just tell you that the online shopping was fantastic. I received a phone call from my "personal shopper" on Saturday morning to say they didn't have the lentils and one of the bottles of wine I had ordered, and could she substitute them for others - and it arrived in two large cooler boxes about an hour later. I was like a little kid at Christmas - I'd done it while I was supposed to be working, and couldn't remember ordering half the stuff, so it was a surprise. Things like a big jar of olives. And I'd ordered a packet of roasting veggies and it was quite a suprise to see the selection, because I'd usually check it out instore. But I'm definitely going to do it again.

Who was the Mommy who found out she was pregnant a while ago? Surely she should have had her baby by now? Wonder how things are going??

Scribbling - I've been wanting to give online shopping a go... I just wondered if they would check the expiry dates.. and keep the stuff refrigerated properly in transit and I also worried that they'd leave out a few things if I did a big shop. How did it go? Sure sounds convenient.. will have to give it a bash sometime :-) Which areas have you been looking for houses? We're also looking at the moment, we've sold our place... what a mission though, especially seeing we have 3 cats and 2 dogs to move with us!!! Hope you got your second half of your dissertation sorted!

Babyshoes.. that is some impressive business coping with all those kids... jeez.. my hat off to you!!! lol. Lia also climbs on stuff... she started climbing before she started walking and she wears my nerves out!

Gosh Beansmom.. sorry to hear about suicide hour. At least a consolation is that after that she is out. I put Lia to bed so easily... but she is up without fail 3-6 times per night.... and then she's up for good between 5h00 and 6h30 somewhere. I swear I look about 10 years older due to so many years of lacking sleep lol... will be relieved when she starts sleeping.. whenever that might be. Jordan was 21 months old... so I'm not expecting her to sleep through any sooner. Alas... I will survive lol

Bronz, shame man... I bet you are counting the sleeps... hopefully time flies by very quickly. Teeth are a bugger.. seriously.. hope those nasty molars don't waste their time popping out.

Elamsmom.. I get what you say about the "luxury of falling apart". I think we all have a tendancy to pull ourselves together and just bulldoze over issues just to be strong and carry on for those who depend on us. In a way it is good... but in another we often don't deal with stuff until it caves in on top of us.

Hey Claudia, hope the PMS has subsided a bit and that you are feeling a bit better. Toddler in tow and PMS = hazardous combo. A Good sob is always therapeutic. You are not a bad mom.. I bet you are a wonderful mom. Don't compare James to other kiddies, seriously, James is only 1.... he is testing limits and toying with the realization of cause and effect... seeing what he can make happen. It must be quite weird for them if you think about it... they see they can make things happen by acting certain ways and they realize that their actions yield power... yet we deny them the right to be independent... or to do certain things... sure, to protect them, or teach them lessons.. but they don't quite get this yet. LOL at being so trusting and sharing... so cute. Jordan was also like that... Lia on the other hand sees her brother, and often has to "fight" to get her own way so she is a lot more forceful and assertive than he was lol, can be quite a handful too!

Hope you all have a good week.
xxx

Babyshoes, it's quite exciting. I have five friends (Des included) who start having their babies from Tuesday!

I just did all my grocery shopping online. What a breeze - nappies, formula, wine - all to be delivered tomorrow morning. Now we just need to hold thumbs that it all arrives. Could get used to this life of a recluse.

Beansmom, I wanted to say that we put a clause in the offer that it can only be transferred 90 days after the bond was approved - which gives us three months. And also if you sell first you are in a far stronger position to buy, so you can go in with lower offers (well, that's the theory, anyway).

Anyway, have a good weekend ladies. I'm working tomorrow, have to finish the second draft of my dissertation on Sunday morning, and fetch my folks from the airport on Sunday afternoon. Off on Monday, thank heavens.

Our little thread has been so busy and you ladies are making me laugh! Especially you, Bronz. Did the Cream Soda help? You did get my little brain working over time, because the ADT guy did say that it was good for nausea, and nausea usually comes in the morning when... well... maybe you just had too much wine like someone else I know.

Beansmom, we haven't found a house yet. And now I'm looking in a different area, just to complicate matters. But I've been so bogged down with this damn dissertation that we haven't really been looking - just online. Still waiting to hear if the people got their bond approved, so we still have time. The estate agent is now at the point where she's having a glass of wine with us while waiting for viewers to arrive.

Suicide hour - yes, you can tell me nothing about suicide hour. We start Emily's dinner/bath/bed routine at 5.30pm - so she's in bed at 6.30 (well, that's the theory, anyway). Last night our last viewing only came at 6.30 and then we still had to bath Madam, so it was a late night for her.

Cupboards are also a playground in our house. Emily's now "making" me coffee in the mornings - if you can't beat them, join them. I love bossing her around. It's so damn cute. Her level of understanding is amazing, although she's still slow in the talking department. I think she's going to be an interior designer because she loves pushing the furniture around.

Bronz, we've been through hitting and kicking - and the occasional bite. I usually go "Ow, that was sore" and put on a really cross face, and then she comes to love me and it's all better.

Babyshoes, is that photo of all the kids you babysat? Looks like a real handful - well done! Sometimes I think one kid is one kid too many ;)

Pinky, how about we do that bottle of vino in August - or is that a no-no? I can pencil you in in September if you want....

Beansmom - Awesome news that the sleeping woes are a thing of the past... GRRRR your lucky - I am still battling with Luke!!

HEHE about the kitchen cupboard... My mom could not handle Luke digging in the cupboards and it ended up in me having to childproof magnetic locks for all my moms kitchen cupboards...

I have a problem with Luke and the kitchen table - he climbs on a chair and gets on the table and you can spank him, shout at him and he will do it over and over and over again... this is slowly but surely starting to annoy my mom and she is at her wits ends. The other day she put her kitchen chairs in a row down the passage and pointed out to me that this is really pissing her off!

Eeeek!

Once again - thanks for the baby gates!!
