Newbiemom!! Yeah!!! I had a good feeling that all would be fine. ;)

I guess the progesterone is not helping with all the symptoms, in fact it amplifies it! But I agree with you, there is comfort in experiencing the symptoms as you know that all is probably well (Not that if you don't experience symptoms that there is necessarily something wrong...).

I can totally understand why you have chosen to tell your LB now, especially with all that you have been through as a family. Thank you for sharing your perspective, it has made me think a bit further...

Hi ladies

I sometimes look at all the posts.I want to tell you (especially Newbiemom) that I also had a MC with twins at 19 weeks and the best investment that I could make after that was a fetal heart monitor. It is a dopler and perhaps some of you ladies already know about it, but its really amazing. You can buy it Baby Boom and start using it from 14 to 16 weeks. I already picked up a heartbeat at 14 weeks and I use it almost everyday. its called Angel Sounds Fetal Heart Monitor.

Its really reassuring and helps with the long periods between scans.

Hubby can also share in being part of the pregnancy.

Good luck with all your pregnancies

Hi ladies...

So... Had our scan this morning, and saw and heard the little heartbeat!
As soon as doc turned on the sound and I heard it I was just in tears  So amazing! Everything is fine! We measured in at 6w4d today, a bit earlier than we thought, due to my cycle being so long.

Doc is also keeping me on progesterone until 12 weeks, and put me on aspirin until 20 something weeks...

sorry to hear you girls also not feeling well. Im the same as you gloei, naar ALL the time. But really dont mind it this time around! Just so grateful that everything is okay!

As for telling our LB. We told him straight away. I know not everyone agrees with that approach, but we have been praying for a baby together as a family, so we decided to tell him from the beginning rather than him maybe over hearing a conversation. He doesnt seem to phased anyway, he is happy about it, but is the kind of child that is very much on his own little mission ;) We also just decided that we want to make the absolute most of every moment of this pregnancy, and never react out of fear or doubt. So telling him and sharing the joy (we told everyone), was for us part of not making decisions based on fear.

But I totally understand why many parents wait to tell. Each to do what works best for their family :)

StarryEyed - 6 km is insane  Well done you!
So jealous! I can barely walk in the mall without getting tired. im very unfit now. did pilates for a loooong time, and then stopped, and that was stupid. Will start again after 1st trimester, and will start walking in the meantime. Ive been telling myself that having a 4yr old boy was exercise enough ;)

1st pregnancy - We had a natural birth at home with our midwife. It was a dream come true!

2nd pregnancy - 2012 Miscarriage at 12 weeks (blighted ovum)

3rd pregnancy - 2012 Miscarriage at 7 weeks

4th pregnancy - 2013 Twins Miscarriage at 6 weeks 4 days

3 Sept 2014 - Saw and heard our little heartbeat.

Nels_n - Sorry to hear about the symptoms getting worse...Are you still managing to work?

My nausea is almost constant, but I haven't vomited yet once, I am terribly stubborn and fear that if I first start it won't stop (like my first pregnancy)....so I just feel green all the time...This time round is still much better than with my first where I was vomiting 3 - 5 times daily. Not fun.
StarryEyed, my nausea started in my first pregnancy at 5 weeks and lasted until 14 weeks. This time round it was around 7 weeks. So, it can vary greatly, you might not even get it!! :pinch:

About fearing that one will be just like your mother - I think one does continue some bad parenting habits (think that is inevitable) however in general I am a completely different mother compared to my mom. I think one can really choose what type of mother you want to be, granted you might have to conciously make certain decisions to break certain habits (those that affected you most negatively), however it can certainly be done. One is not simply a repeat of your parents in my experience.

For those with older children....When did you decide to tell them about the pregnancy? We have been absolutely dying to tell our 5 year old girl but every article I have read on the Internet has strongly advised not telling before 12 weeks...So, we haven't told her yet. She just accepts my tiredness and nausea without too many questions. Strange.
I am just so worried that things don't work out with this pregnancy and then what if don't fall pregnant again (since it took a while...). She will be absolutely devastated thinking she might have a sibbling and then maybe not if it doesn't work out... Tough one.

Still thinking of you Newbiemom!! xx

Hey everyone

I hope all of you feel better soon... I hate nausea. When did yours kick in?
I have been lucky so far but I am only 6 weeks so it could kick in any day... my due date is around 29 April so right at the end of the month. What are all of yours?

As for the exercise... I have to walk... Sweden has great public transport but no tram from where I am staying to work... so to work and back is 6km... at least I am managing that I suppose. I really hope it does not get to the point where I cannot walk to work because I do not want to tell my colleagues this early!!

Gloei- I'm sorry that's awful. I can completely relate... my mom was not a bad mom exactly... but she was just "cold" and she suffered from postnatal depression... so I am terrified it will be genetic and I will be like that. I hope my nervous jitters do go away. Not being home makes me feel unsettled so maybe once I am back, that will stop.

I just went and bought two larger bras and comfy pants... my boobs are huge and very painful! I am also bloating a bit so it is uncomfortable to wear my jeans. I was in H&M so I took the opportunity to go to the baby section... soooooooo cute!!! I could not resist buying a few little things. I will have to actively stop myself from going back there :)

23Aug2014 - First positive test of my first pregnancy (4weeks & 3 days) :)

On Friday i had to buy 2 new bras due to my old ones being to tight.
My nausea and fatigue and bloating seems to be getting worse. I can hardly stomach much.
i have to watch every thing I eat.

Hello ladies

congratulations Newbiemom!

Starrieyed @ So happy for you. You are so fortunate that you can exercise daily. I am mostly tied and nausea too and am lucky if I can manage 10min of anything.

Gloei @ I am good, been trying to post but becomes unsuccessful
