Hi Ladies,

Newbiemom - thinking of you and sending positive vibes to your side!!

StarryEyed - 6 km??!!!! Wow, that is amazing! I struggle to walk to the toilet at times I feel so tired. Also dizzy and light headed. I am sure it will end with the first trimester and then I can continue my Pilates again.

I had the nervous jitters as you described with my first pregnancy. I was severely anxious. I worried if I was going to be a good mom or if I am making a mistake to have a child (I never felt wanted by my own mother and all those fears confused my into thinking that I will be the same kind of mother - which turned out to be untrue). It was pretty rough at times. Funny enough, later in the pregnancy (2nd and 3rd trimester) I had this sense of euphoric peace that I have only experienced in pregnancy. It was as if I had this purpose in growing this baby and it felt good. Be gentle on yourself and all the emotions you experience, hormones make you think crazy things!

Hey gloie... I am managing to walk 6km every day at a fast pace but I find I do not have the stamina for any more than that... I feel too tired! I am going to join one of the preggie ex classes at virgin active when I get home... but for now I figure that as long as I am doing something then that's ok.

Congratulations Newbiemom! I will be holding thumbs for your appointment tomorrow! Can't wait to hear how it goes.

Wish I could see my doc... I am sad I have to wait until 11 weeks to see if everything is ok. Have any of you had wierd nervous feeling in your tummy... It has been happening on and off for 2 days now... Feels like I am about to stand up at a podium and give a talk. Really strange!

23Aug2014 - First positive test of my first pregnancy (4weeks & 3 days) :)

Ah wow Newbiemom! Congratulations! Fabulous news. :woohoo:

I am so sorry to hear about the miscarriages...I can't imagine how difficult things must have been for you and your husband. It sounds like you made a good move to get a new gynae. I am so exited for you for tomorrow's scan, although I can imagine that you are nervous too.

Will be thinking of you tomorrow and PLEASE let us all know how it went!!
xx

Hi ladies! Wow gloei so happy for you, and for everyone!

I am joining your group :) And how is this - I also have a LB who is almost 5. And although I wouldnt say we had given up trying for a baby, we just surrendered it completely to the point where I wasnt even tracking my cycle or thinking about it anymore. We have been trying for a little over 2 years. Had a miscarriage, and another one 3 months after that, and another one 6 months after that. At that point I went to a new gynae who prescribed progesterone for when I get pregnant again, so I started taking that the day we found out I was pregnant, and now I am on +- 7 weeks already which makes me very happy!

We have a scan tomorrow morning and I have to admit I do feel a bit nervous... have had 3 pregnancies now without ever seeing a heartbeat. But I have faith that this one is sticking! So encouraging to read through your posts, as I have been wondering about the cramps ive been having. Not really like period but d3finitely something, and also sometimes into my legs. Wondered if it was stretching... couldnt remember from my first pregnancy... feels so long ago.

Boobs also incredibly sore, so e days worse than others, and very nauseous, also some days worse than others...

Really cant wait for tomorrow, just want to see that little heartbeat.
So nice to share all of this
Thinking of you all xx

Hi everyone,

StarryEyed: I am so glad you could find someone to do a check up and all looks well! How nice that it is a friend that you trust, so glad for you. Europe's approach to birth and pregnancy is still very wholesome in general - which I think is great.

Some of my smaller bras didn't fit very soon although I have 2 slightly larger ones that luckily still do the trick. Probably by the end of the first trimester they might have to be replaced too!

I have stopped taking my pregnancy multi vitamin since I suspect it is the high iron amount that is the culprit. I can already feel a slight improvement since I stopped taking it. I take a separate folic acid to make sure I am covered.

Any of you still managing to do some kind of exercise routine? I used to do a few short sessions of pilates at home in the mornings, but are feeling too nauseas and tired. I really miss the exercise but can't get myself to do it...

Any news from anyone else? Thinking of you all.

Hi everyone!!

How are you all feeling? I hope your pregnancies are going well.

I saw my midwife friend over the weekend... she is a mom of 3 and she has had a miscarriage, so she has lots of experience. It was so reassuring to hear that everything I am feeling is normal. She said everything looks perfect and they do not do scans until 18 weeks here... they believe in the body handling any first trimester problems naturally... so if the pain is unbearable/ there is bleeding/ my pregnancy symptoms start to disappear... then I should grab my passport and medical insurance info and head to the nearest hospital.

My symptoms seem to be getting stronger though... Today... I woke up and got dressed and my bra feels a size too small... my boobs feel like they are going to explode. How long do they keep getting bigger for? I don't want to have to buy multiple sizes... but I am not sure how much longer I can wear these ones.

23Aug2014 - First positive test of my first pregnancy (4weeks & 3 days) :)
