Hey everyone!

Seems that all is going well!:) ?

My gynie costs are R1600 per session. We are paying more than at most gynies, as he is trying to make it easier to accumulate the out-contracted fee that he is charging for the birth. So, instead of paying a hefty fee at the birth (the portion not covered by the medical aid) - he divides his out-contracted fee and it is then shared across the many visits during the 9 month pregnancy. So - we are paying for each gynie visit...and then also contributing a little bit each time for the birth.

We do have medical aid and will be having a c-section at a private hospital.
As we have lots of stuff left from our older toddlers - we do not have to buy so much this time around. So - we have put aside a little bit of money to go and spend at the Mama Magic next month in Jhb. We need a new monitor and nappies and some toiletries. This little nunu will need to be satisfied with hand-me-downs from the older two with regards to a cot, compactum, travelsystem and the like.

Pinky:
I just LOVE your 4d photos! Look at that adorable mouth! So cute!

Reef:
Glad the glucose test went fine. I need to do one end of the month when I go to my gynie again. A little nervous about that, as I am not as disciplined with my diet that what I use to be with my previous pregnancies. I am indulging a lot more.

Hi ladies,

My gynae costs R950 but some appointments he charges for scan and then it is a few hundred more. Pinky you are very lucky with your pricing!! I also have to pay my gynae for the c-section at 36 weeks and then claim back because he is not contracted in. That alone is R21,000. Yes I will get it back from Medical Aid and Gap Cover, but sheesh... who has that kind of money lying around!!!

Had glucose test today... that glucose concoction is a bit hectic on an empty stomach but not so bad. Not a massive fan of needles so 3 bloods in 2 hours was also not fun.

Anyway... on 2 weekly doc visits so get to see my girl next week again. Yay!

reef, that is a big healthy girl. so glad everything is going well.
Doc sent me for test, 4 different blood test, so assume glucose was one. Everything came back normal.

I am only going again to doc in 4 weeks.
