Hi,

Firefly, the party planning is going well. Hopefully I will have everything finalised before easter weekend, then I won't have any stress about the party the following weekend.
I like the idea of a chiroprator. I think I should try and book me a session for all the aches and pains. :P
Thank you again for the updated list.

I had a nice weekend. Had a mommy lunch at the Wimpy in Hartbeespoort Dam and it was fabulous. The rest of the weekend we basically watched sports and relaxed.

Next weekend we are going to the Inlaws and the following Tuesday is Lene's birthday. I am taking leave for the day. We are going for the 4D scan in the morning and then we will have lunch some place where she can play!

I am so tired this morning. Lucky only 3 more days of waking up early

Just noticed that Barbara-Ann is due any day now - is she still around on this thread?

Hi everyone

michellejv, I can understand you feeling weepy but it sounds like you've done your research, got your 2nd opinion and a c-section is the best for Rebecca. How exciting that you've got your date - 17 days and counting! :)

Adele, well done on the weight loss :) Sorry to hear about your home issues but it sounds like you have a healthy attitude - you can only take so much onto yourself, some things you just have to hand over to God. I hope you manage to rest this weekend, how is the party planning going?

Maribiscuit, can't imagine how stressful the move must have been. Our move to the US was temporary so we didn't bring a lot of stuff over but I was exhausted after the first week here (and I wasn't even pregnant at the time!) I'm not looking forward to the move back with a month old baby, but thankfully my dh is really good and I know he'll do most of the packing and arrangements. I haven't had any braxton hicks yet but then I'm a month behind you. I'm also not sure how they're supposed to feel.

Champers, now only four weeks to go?! Hope you're feeling less exhausted.

AFM, nothing much new. Having checkups every 2 weeks with the midwife. Starting to feel sleepier and sleepier. I started seeing a chiropractor last week and she is amazing :) I've always had neck and shoulder tension and it always gets worse when I'm stressed (exams and papers due in a month!) plus I've been getting some mild back pain too which she is helping with. Also read that chiropractors can help with pelvic alignment during pregnancy and create a good environment to encourage babies to position themselves correctly - baby boy is head down at the moment so hopefully he'll be fine position-wise!

Hi,

Michelle, I am so sorry you don't get the birth you dreamed of. As long as both you and Rebecca is safe and healthy, everything will turn out ok.
You must be getting quite nervous by now. Thinking of you.

Where have all the rest gone?? It has been awfully quiet. Everyone still happy and healthy?

Had an exhausting week. I am so happy it is weekend! Can't wait to wake up by myself and not with an alarm clock ringing in my ears ;)

It feels like I am carrying lower. My bump is definately moving more southwards  It feels a bit early though, but I guess every pregnancy is different.

Hi all...

Quick update... so Rebecca has turned back head down but gynae is still not happy with her and has said she is Macrosomic- which basically means she is a big baby (she was measuring 3.3-3.5kg's yesterday), which we knew all along, but suddenly her stomach is disproportionately larger than the rest of her- basically her head, legs and arm measurements are 36 weeks but her tummy measurement is 40 weeks... Dr M kept re-checking and re-measuring from all different angles. So we had a discussion about the risk factors involved in a natural delivery of macrosomic babies and especially with one who is disproportionate and I got a 2nd opinion from the gynae my mom works for and long story short, we are going with a c-section the week of April 16th. Dr M's rooms should get back to me today with a theatre date. I was a little upset and weepy about it yesterday, but have calmed down now and I know that I am making the best decision for Rebecca.

So two weeks and counting!! I can taste the sushi & the chilled glass of wine I've been craving!!

Ok, so this will be the third time I try today :swear:

Hallo Moomies,

Firefly, Good luck with the last stretch of studies. F(x) that everything goes well. I am happy that everything is going well with you and baba. Better safe than sorry.
Quick update, I am definitely having a boy and we are hoping for a vbac.

MariBiscuit, it is great to hear from you. I hope you get all your goodies real soon. It will at least help you to feel more settled. Thinking of you and hoping you make lots of friends soon.

Champers, I cannot believe that you only have 5 more weeks to go. You must be super excited. These children of ours, they tend to act out when they feel a big change is imminent, especially when mommy is not feeling her best. Good luck, sending lots of hugs.

Michellejvv, hang in there. The end is near and soon you will be able to hold little Rebecca in your arms. At least the dreaded glucose test is done and dusted. Hope you feel better already!

What a week, had bronchitis, had unresolved issues that we had to deal with at home. I wasn't sleeping, couldn't stop crying. Felling betrayed, weak, unloved, simply pathetic and very very sorry for myself.

But God tends to work in mysterious ways, and did He work with me through all this. Got a couple of valuable lessons - Firstly, got to work harder on my side - hand over the problems of Hubby to God to work with them, it cannot be me trying to fix him. Secondly, I have to forgive, forget - it makes me physically sick not to do so. Thirdly, I need to let go of my anger. No anger is bigger than God's salvation.

Finally I am not going to focus on what still needs to be fixed. Rather I am going to count my blessings.

Went for check-up and baby is doing really well. Already weighs between 1.1-1.2kgs. Measuring as big as a 30 week baby! Going to be a big boy.

I lost another 500gr. So I am standing on 2.2kgs in 2 weeks!

My daughter's party stuff arrived. Yay. So tonight I am starting to write the invitations, so it can go to pre-school with her before the holidays.

So all in all, what doesn't kill us make us stronger ;)
