Hi Everyone on this very cool Friday morning!

How I wish I could stay in bed a little longer in this rainy weather.

Babylove, welcome - I hope you are having a very happy and healthy pregnancy.

Firefly, how are your paper coming on? Lunch was actually great, against all expectation. Hubby barbequed the chicken, I just made a salad (2 actually - because I have this crazy carrot and pineapple salad craving) and a peppermint crisp tart for dessert. They also ended up leaving quite early so it wasn't overly tiring.

Michellejvv, how did the glucose test go? Lovely pic of your bump!

2kidmamma; Thanks for the info on the doula, it was extremely helpful. The bellypainting sounds like lots of fun. Hope you took many pics!!

Had a interesting week, Hubby was away for work until last night. Lené got tonsilitis, so that was less fun. I ended up taking her to work with me on Tuesday for half a day, and working from home on Wednesday.

I also joined Weigh Less online, and I am following their formula for third trimester. Hoping that this would curb any weight gain going forward. I am also going to continue with the breastfeeding formula once the baby is born.

We still don't have a name for the baby. DH is just not very helpful  He shoots down every name I give him, and do not offer any alternative in return.

We are supposed to go to an outdoor concert tonight, but with this weather, I just don't know if this is going to happen. Lucky for me the fishing trip for tomorrow has been cancelled. Yay. But that is also a different story all together. Suffice to say, I don't need people in my life that lies to me. And for what reason is one of the great mysteries of the universe, because it is not like I am affected in any way. Just do not want to be drawn into anyone's drama. I have plenty of my own to deal with.

Hi Ladies

Sorry I have been so quiet but it's quite busy at the office. I find it easier to share quick updates on Facebook so if any of you that arn't already on my facebook would like to "Friend" me you are welcome. My name is Celeste Booysen. Profile pic is of my Hubby and I.

@ Adelef, the role of the Doula is quite important. She is there to see you to your every emotional need and support you in any way you require during delivery and after. My Doula is there for the birth, comes to see me the next day, will visit me at home to help with weighing etc and any other immediate need i.e if i need to have a shower and can't get a moment to myself my Doula will even come round. All with in Reason. My Doula has said to me, once I am your Doula I am always there for you 24/7 on call and that's really great. I am having a ceaser and most people would be havind a Doula traditionally with a natural birth but I had some issues last time after the birth and felt very alone and isolated and never want to go through that again so thankfully my Doctor and the Hospital are all for the extra support for me this time. My Doctor has welcomed her into his Theatre which many wont and the Hospital is also very accepting where in the past they wern't. My Doula Lisa was the lady that started this awesome non profit organisation WOMBS for which I have attached link where you can read more about what Doula's do and how it all began. www.wombs.org.za/

@ Michelle, I really hope Rebecca turns for you now. I wanted to say though that one of the other Moms on this forum Anina should be able to help you with some ideas for getting Rebecca to turn. Her Alias on Moomie is Hasie I think. She is based in Gauteng but I am sure she would be willing to help. She is also a Hypnobirth instructor.

To the Newbies, welcome to our thread.

@ Staceysmey, congrats on the new house, that's very cool.

This past weekend my Hubby and Daughter painted my Belly full of pictures and we had alot of fun because the Baby thought they were playing with Her/him and wouldn't lie still. The artwork came out very well and we all had great time.

Take care all

Hi all... still waddling along... 34 weeks this week and tired doesn't even begin to describe how I feel, just in a permanent state of exhaustion... lol!! I don't know what madame Rebecca is up to these days, she is super active and responds to any kind of stimuli on my stomach- from my hand, to my book to the tv remote. My dd's favourite at the moment is to come and lie with her head on my stomach and let Rebecca push and kick her and she tickles Rebecca back. I honestly don't know if she's turned back yet, it's difficult to tell because sometimes it actually feels like she's lying sideways? Trying very hard not to stress about it and will wait and see what 37 weeks brings.

My friends and family threw me a babyshower over the weekend, got lots of clothes and blankets and toiletries and it was awesome just to hang out with everyone. Rebecca's dad came as well- the only guy amongst the ladies, but he was such a good sport and took part in all the games.

I have to go and do the 2 hour blood glucose test tomorrow  not looking forward to it!

Hope everyone is well and good!!

@Babylove I'm also a durban moomie.. which hospital are you at and which gynae are you seeing?

My 34 week bump pic...

Welcome Babylove :)

When is your due date? I'm 27 weeks this week and there are a few of us due around the same time as you. I would take the weight thing with a pinch of salt because I've read that ultrasounds are pretty unreliable when it comes to accurately predicting baby weight :) So don't stress.

Adele - how was your lunch? Good thing your husband stepped up :) Did he end up cooking?

Michellejv - Has Rebecca turned yet?

How is everyone doing? It's getting a little quiet on this thread. I am technically on "Spring Break" but am currently in the library trying to get as much of my paper done as possible, I can't believe I only have about 6 weeks of classes left! Baby is kicking up a little storm, I love it :) He keeps me company while I'm procrastinating and trying to work...
