Yes, we're leaving for Aus on 9 Feb 2012. We're going to Mandurah, Perth..my hubby's cousin lives there. Would love to make contact with other expats - I'm sure we're going to feel VERY lost the first few months.

@ Maribuscuit, welcome to the thread, i think you are about one of the furthest along here. the thread is not too long as yet, we tend to only chat once a day or so. We have had a few Mommies who joined but who have subsequently miscarried which was very sad.

I see on another thread you are off to Australia sometime soon? Whereabouts will you be living? I have a very very good friend in melbourne and one in Perth incase you want to catch up with some expats.

I'm joining the thread I'm 14weeks pregnant, known about it for quite some time but have decided to wait until after 12weeks to share the news Due date is 8 May 2012.

2kmm, I'm glad to hear there are other ladies who had heavy bleeding and are fine. I have been taking it easy and I'm going to carry on taking it easy for the next few weeks till my 12 week checkup. I suppose the good thing that came out of the scare was that we got to see the baby on the ultrasound properly - you're right, what a big difference in just a few weeks.

Your DH sounds good. I really admire you for doing this with 2 kids already. I really don't know if I would manage if I had kids to look after!

My DH is being amazing though, he's cleaning, doing laundry, groceries, some limited cooking (unfortunately our apartment is open plan and I cannot take the smell of food cooking so dh has been eating mostly cold food or take out for the last month, poor guy).He also does everything for me, makes me snacks, gets me water - he's really having to work for this baby!

I'm 11 weeks this week, have my big 12week next week. Can't wait, but also just hope all is ok! Haven't told anyone besides parents about pregnancy so really looking forward to telling EVERYONE, hehe.

The ms, is a bit better, but still really yuk at night! With my 1st the ms only went at 16 weeks, hoping it goes earlier this time round. Hasn't been fun! Sigh.

@adele, dope u have a better day abd feel better!

@2km, my hubby has also just been so so so fantastic, really helps to have the understanding and support from dh!

Hi Everyone!

Glad the babies are doing fine Ronel and Firefly!

Today I am feelling pretty crap! We went to Mafikeng this weekend, only came back late on Sunday. Monday I was exhausted and after Lene's mock ballet exam I was just too tired to go to work.

Today I'm just nauseous, tired and very emotional. Ah, the joys of being pregnant! Luckily it will turn out to be a 3day week for me, because I am going to put in leave for Friday for the real ballet exam. Husband is also taking off on Friday, so hopefully I will get in a bit of rest

Ah firefly, I am so sorry you had to go through such a scare this weekend. I know there are quite a lot of Moomie Mommies that had heavy bleeding in the first tri-mester and that there babies were born full term. They much just keep an eye on it though, it could indicate low lying placenta but your baby should still be surviving off the yolk sack now. Look after yourself lady.

@ Ronel, I am glad it all looks fine and that your Baby is growing so nicely. These first few weeks it's such rapid growth, even between 6 & 8 weeks there is such a vast difference between the images of the baby you get.

My MS is still quite bad but it sounds nothing like yours Firefly. I really feel for you. My DH has been so understanding and supportive with it this time round (Let me tell you, he really wasn't with my last pregnancy) If I need to go lie down he lets me and he takes over as much as possible with the Kids. It's been really great.
