It's been quiet here today. Ronel - good to hear the scan went well And let me tell you again, you have totally lucked out in escaping the normal symptoms - I can honestly say that morning sickness is the hardest thing I have ever had to go through!

I had a bit of a scare this weekend, started bleeding really heavily on Saturday afternoon. I spoke to the gynae and she said that it sounded like a threatened miscarriage and that the only thing to do would be an ultrasound. The bleeding has now lessened a lot. I went for the ultrasound this afternoon and thankfully the baby looks just fine - heartbeat at 175, growth has been fine (2.23cm). The cutest thing was that the ultrasound technician said "all the activity must have tired the baby out because there's no movement" and just as she said that the baby literally started swinging all his arms and legs and jumping around - like he was just trying to prove her wrong, lol

Hope everyone had a good weekend. We went for our first scan this morning. I am 8w2d. Baba measures 17mm and has a strong heartbeat of 170bpm. The gynea is very happy with everything. I haven't felt very pregnant yet but the scan this morning has confirmed the reality. I am so thankful and so excited.

2kmm, that's a good idea. I think I'll go to their website and see if they can ship to me. If they can't ship it I may be able to get someone to bring some for me - my family is visiting us in December.

Adele, your 4 year old sounds so cute! Smells also trigger my ms - the weirdest is that I can smell PEOPLE. It sounds crazy but it's cold here and the central heating is on. When I walk into a building or a classroom on campus I can immediately smell people...it's like stale sweat..I don't know. Makes me want to throw up.

@ Firefly, It's a pity you can't get the nativa Mom2B shake that I drink. It's also Halaal and tastes delicious. Perhaps if you contact them they can send you it via courier?

@ Adele, My daughter is 5 and she is just as excited about about her new baby. She can't wait!

Yay, it's Friday. I think if somebody gives me half a chance, I would probably sleep the whole day tomorrow.

I got me the herbalife shake this week, but I really struggle with the texture. So I am back to Annique's shake. It is really delicious and also 100 % natural.

I am eating a lot of dry provitas, seems to help with MS. Heartburn is still bad. And it contributes to my MS. Eina.

Gosh, I am driving with a lift club - it helps to save fuel and our cars. So this morning, I was driving and the lady that sat next to me had so much perfume on that I instantly wanted to Oh my greatness, who would have through that perfume can make you ???

My 4year old is really looking forward to her baba. She is packing out all her old baby stuff to give to baba!! She even told me baba can lay on the floor by her feet, whilst I am driving. Got out the mattress and the pillow...

Stacey - I feel you with the liquids. I was throwing up pure water at one stage. It gets better though. Now I'm thirsty all the time.

2kmm, I'm glad I'm not the only one. I've checked the Ensure shake and the vitamin A levels are okay. I've compared it to my multivit and to the levels Patrick Holford warns about.

I'm having difficulty finding other shakes here because I eat only halaal. The Ensure is kosher so I'm okay with it. I tried a vegan shake and it was absolutely awful. I know that once I can start taking my prenatal multivit more regularly I should be fine with nutrients so I just need to get through these next few weeks with the shake.

@ Firefly, I also lost over 4 Kg's in my First Trimester with my second pregnancy. Mainly due to the fact that I just couldn't eat anything in my first 12 weeks. I used the Herbal Life shake to supplement me. Just check that Ensure doesn't have too much vitamin A in it because that is not good for Baby. is there not rather a type of Pregnancy shake you can get?
