Good morning ladies!

Well the inlaws visit is going okayish lol! Sister-in-law is actually very nice I have no problems with her, my mother in law just thinks a pregnant woman is incapable of doing anything really!! I made up the beds and she almost freaked out saying pregnant woman is not suppose to do things I must rest....like I'm sick or something?? Lol so I see myself grinding my teeth a few times in the next two weeks till they leave again! Then she started with their traditions/superstitions which I don't believe in! She basically told me that the baby is not suppose to leave the house till its baptised as its bad luck :laugh: :laugh: ...I just smiled!

Anyone else have to deal with family traditions/superstitions?

I started reading up on what to do to prepare for a natural birth to make it easier, and read something about not sitting on soft seats? Sounds a bit crazy!...anyone else know what a woman can do to prepare for a natural birth?

Anyway if I don't log in tomorrow I'll use this opportunity to wish everyone a very blessed and merry Christmas! :heart:

@sonsbaby, sweet pic!

I think everyone is holiday!
It must be really difficult with them being so far away. At least technology makes it easier, but you still probably feel a bit "formal".
At least they dont live down the road and are in your business all the time :silly: :P

I have my inlaws visiting at the moment as well. beginning to feel a bit claustrophobic now, as they want to help with stuff in the house, etc but they are barraging me with "what do we do with this, what do we do with that"!
But its just for a couple more days i guess!

Good morning ladies!

Cannot believe its only 2 days to Christmas! Time really flew this year! We will be spending Christmas with my hubby's mum and sister who came over to visit from Ireland! Have not seen them for two years so not sure what to expect its difficult to build a good relationship with inlaws that stay so far away! :blink:

@Maj good luck with the naming wars! Holding thumbs for you! :P

Have attached the latest pic of our little boy from our visit to the specialist! :heart: :heart:

@ sonsbaby, glad you feeling better :)
Thanks for the suggestion about the second name. I am actually not keen about a second name at all though. Neither of us have second names, and we havent given my daughter a second name either.
So alas the naming arguments will continue. At least my daughter is calling the baby the name I like ;)

Hi everyone!

Thanks Inca and Maj I do feel better about the whole tummy situation! :P I went shopping with hubby for some clothes and he was a star made me feel much more confidant! :heart:

@Gib glad everything went well with the scan :woohoo:

@Maj we are also giving family names but as second names, like if it was a girl it would have gotten my great grandmothers name and if it is a boy either my hubby's fathers who passed away long ago or my grand dad's name. We still going to give our little boy his own individual name as a first name which we still have to decide on...maybe suggest that?

Scan went very well thank you. Little girl is all perfect - although a little small, but still in normal range. Ultrasound lady said they weren't worried about the size though as my son was also very small - I obviously just make small babies.

Hi Ladies,

Been away from the forum for a week, have had a good couple of pages of catching up to do!
Things have been busy on my side!

@MTC, glad everything is ok after the scare!

@Sonsbaby, brothers (and men in general) are just sometimes a bit thick-headed and just think "oh thats nice-she likes to cook" but dont realise that woman (esp pregnant woman) will think a lot more, and saw what does the present mean, is he saying im fat! So dont read too much into it!
I thought im looking quite pregnant, and most woman seem to be able to tell, but hubby saws it kinda looks like i just have a big tummy-i was not impressed. And my butt has gotten kinda huge!

@CDLK- what a cute bump!

@Jaybee I can feel some kicks/stretches right now!
I had some flutters at about 14 weeks, might have been gas! then last Thurs while i was lying down in bed, I felt a "gadumph'! and hubby could feel it to when i placed his hand on the spot. Then nothing for a couple of days, and now i seem to feel something at least some time during the day. Mine seems to be quite low, in line with my hip bone.

Im going for an app today! haven't been since 13 weeks :blink: Still haven't figured out whether I want to find out or not. I am so undecided. It would really take this name issue away!

Hubby has insisted on the name if its a boy, he has been telling his dad since he was 15 that his 1st son will be named after him. And I have no choice in the matter.
He also likes his grandmothers name if it is a girl. I don't like the name. But his grandmother passed away last week, and now he says its even more reason to name the child after her.
I know they are all grieving, but I still don't like the name-am I being too callous?!!
Of course any name I suggest, is turned down by everyone immediately!
We asked my daughter what she would like to name the baby (she insists its a girl), and she says we should name her "Quve"! :blink: :silly: :woohoo:
