Hello Ladies!
Happy New Year - 2016 is going to be a great one!!
So I have loads going on as well - we are still waiting for our building plans to be approved with the town council. I am getting so frustrated and anxious. I am trying not to think about it and rather dumping all the building problems onto my husband to deal with!
I really expected my sister and mother to plan my baby shower, especially considering I just planned a HUGE event for my sisters 30th birthday in December- but now, she is so self-absorbed and will not help with a thing! However, she did break the news to the family that she is 5 weeks pregnant. It was a huge shock as she has always said that she never wants to have children and is not someone that is maternal at all. But my dilemma is that a save the date was sent out last year for 30 January so now this week I have been left the daunting task of trying to find a venue, and arrange everything else (and pay for it too) as my Mom's house is also under severe construction at the moment! It has been super stressful but I suppose if I want things done my way, then I will just have to do it myself!
My hubby is going to have a nappy braai as well - an additional event that I have to plan too!
Although my LG is expected on 14 April - both my mom and I think she will be a mid March baby. I am looking rather big in my opinion and last night decided to measure my fundal height out of curiosity. I am 31cm but only 25w, 5 days. Surely this is not too good? I am rather short (1.5m) and petite so hopefully that is the only problem but thankfully I have an appointment with both the foetal specialist and gynie next week Tuesday. For now I don't want to stress myself out... last year I was also advised to do a blood glucose test for my sugar levels, I have not heard anything from the gynie so hopefully no news is good news!
Durban heat is a killer! I am struggling with swollen fingers and feet. Definitely not looking forward to February. Is anyone else struggling to sleep - I am forcing myself to go to sleep at about 1am, but constantly waking up. I cant blame it entirely on the heat as I have aircon.
@ninnies - I booked my hospital bed at 20 weeks already, but I also thought it was quite early to do so but its what my gynie wanted.
@MTC - will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Stay positive and have good thoughts and hopefully everything will be ok!
@Licious - I was originally told I have having a LB at 12w, and I was disappointed. At 20 weeks we were then told it was a LG and hubby was disappointed. At the end of the day as long as we have a healthy baby I really don't mind... there are so many people out there that are wishing for a miracle baby and just cant have one.
