I wish D would say Mommy - no luck there, everything is Dada (I can sometimes convince her to say Mama)
Her fave words are Out (and she waves her arm to show you must go out) and Duck
She also loves opening doors - esp the freezer & cupboard
And also loves plugs!!! and turning on the hair dryer

She has started getting into watching tv now - she loves Telletubbies, Waybuloo & Uki on Ceebeebies
Oh and she now loves doing 'bolamakiesies' (roly-poly) on the bed since my mom showed her, so now
she puts her hands on the bed, puts her head down and lifts her bum in the air and tried to roll over
(without help, she just falls to one side, but if you push her bum, she goes over nicely)

Arrrghh!! We were meant to go away for the weekend to a spa with BIL & SIL, but have just been told that
the place has been taken over by new management and they are not obligated to honour any bookings
that were made with the old owners but they can offer us a discount on the package ... WTF?!!!
So now we have to try get our money back and are certainly not going to pay another red cent, so there goes that!!!
So now I really need to go to the game reserve!!

Kaelyn's new favourite word is "Mommee" and absolutely everything is now called mommy, i guess because she wantnts mommy to pass it to her or show her what it does... turn it on, turn it of.. etc. it was cute but now its getting a bit tedious.

Saturday morning we were sitting inside eating breakfast and she was just staring at me repeating mommy over and over... (and i thought that only came much later)

she has managed a couple of two word sentences now, but atill resides on one... she has even put together three once but i think it was totally unintentional

Perhaps you may need to invest in a lock coz its only going to get worse... then again if you are moving in a month i guess it is't worth the trouble K can also open doors if she can reach the handles, but luckily ours are still quite a way away from her

Hi Ladies,

We are not going away for Easter - since we just came back from holiday - so just rest, rest, rest.
Our next big 'rest' (can't call it holiday if I still have to work) is coming in July. Willem is going away for 2 weeks with his grandparents. I'm going to miss him LOTS - but will get to sleep again for a change

We also want to move Willem - to his own room, and to his single bed. BUT we have to move end of next month - and we are still looking for a place . So its no use getting him used to a change now, and then changing it again in a months time...

Robyn - Can imagine it’s a bit embarrassing to be ousted like that!! But at least no more hiding the bump now

Kerry, ouch - FIVE teeth! I can imagine that she is miserable - The most Willem ever cut together is 2, and that was bad enough!

Willem's talking is coming along nicely now - still mostly single words, but FIL reports the occasional 2-word sentence as well. His favorites right now is "up" (2am when he wants out his cot, and in with us), "Juice" - everything is juice, tea, milk, water incl. And "not" (somehow he mixed up "no") - and the one word he uses the most - and he knows exactly what it means too ...
Tell him to go back to sleep - "not", tell him to give you something - "not". So cute, and at the same time SO "frustrating"

He also learned to open doors!!!! FIL's lounge door (into garden) had a slightly lower handle, and he learned that if he stands on his tip-toes and grab it, he can open it!!! He can also open the gate between the front and back garden where we stay - and the front garden has an open fish pond So we have to watch him VERY carefully now

So happy you don't have to hide your pregnany any more Robyn, that must be a huge weight off your shoulders.

Kaelyn seems to be cutting about 5 teeth suddenly... she has her two bottom fromt teeth, two top front, one top incisor and one top pre-molar... now shes cutting a bottom incisor and two bottom pre-molars and a top pre-molar and... i dunno it seems so odd from no teeth to a full mouth of them... lol. poor thing is MISERABLE!

but we had a ood giggle, last night daddy was bathing her and he was teaching her to pull faces... when he got to angry he used his fists too and a little growl... she copied it beautifully, i just couldn't help but laugh...

Glad you told them Robyn - now you have that off your chest! That puking episode sounds rough Have you been having any morning sickness??

Hi ladies
very quiet on this side!

Had a nice weekend
Dinner with my uncle on Fri was cool, when we told him about D he said he would have to find out if the park allows children (I had already asked them before just in case, and they do, so basically it's up to him if he wants D there or not. If he tells us they don;'t allow kids, then we know he's lying and jsut doesn't want her there! So now we're just waiting for him to reply)
Sat DH & I went to watch a movie & have lunch which was a nice break
Sun morning took D to the beach with my parents
But Sun night, D got a fever and didn't sleep at all - crying and hot - carried on all thru Mon
& Mon night. We managed to break her fever during the night on Mon, so she's fine now
But it was just her teeth - her 2 canines coming thru
And she has a very sensitive tummy when it comes to medicine, so when we gave her some Panado syrup she threw up all over me (and I mean ALL OVER - down my back, down my front, a nice puddle of sour milk, peas etc in my bra!! ) so we both had a bath at 23h00!
Shame, she's never had any health issues, so this was a first for us!

Oh, and I told some of my bosses/managers that I'm preggers - everyone was very happy for me
It was abit embarrassing - we were at a management meeting and one of the managers (a lady who's son is 2 months younger than D) asked me in front of all the other managers when no 2 was coming.
So I said I'm officially 12 weeks so I can say baby is due in Oct. She said she could tell because I was 'glowing' Yeah right!! I said no, it was because my tummy thought I was 6 months already!!
So we all chatted about our kids - 4 of the mgrs have 2 kids (most are under 6) so we were comparing notes
The lady (who outed me) - her son set fire to the kitchen last week - he turned on the stove which was covered with a cloth! And he puts plastic toys in the oven and puts metal things in the microwave and turns them on!! What a little terror!!
At least I can stop worrying about sucking in my tummy now
Now I just need to wait til my main boss gets back on 12 Apr to break the news to him

Flowergirl, i know i was thinking the same thing! So quiet.

For easter we are going to hazyview cabanna's for the weekend, taking the day before and the day after too... and i think we will also do some sort of treasure hunt for K... even if we "hide" the eggs on the lawn and give her a basket to pick them all up with. i sooo can't wait!

She has been sleeping in her crib with the side off for a while now and i must say it is so nice not to have to put her in over the crib side and its the size of a half a single bed as its a combinette bed. She has a single bed of her own in the other room that we will graduate to soon, but i dunno i am just not ready to move her further away yet. but she sleeps so well and if she is having a bad night we just cuddle in with her for a few minutes and then when shes gotten drowsy we wander off.



Warm wishes to poor Kaylee baby, that does explain the trouble joybaby has been having with sleep at least... hopefully it will get better now.
