Newborn and baby advice

@ Claudia: I got that as a snotty comment from a friend who bottle fed (not that I have anything against bottle feeding, just this mom's mission was to prove me wrong for choosing to bfeed and for so long.)

I have seen Beansmom on FB, think she is picking up business wise.

What are the plans for the weekend?

@ Bronz - I have no idea who started the rumour that breastfed babies dont get sick - so many people have said that to me:) Unfortuntely breastfed babies do get sick, just they tend to get sick less often and less severely than the same baby would do if it were bottle fed:)

Where is beansmom? Havent heard from her in a while?

Adri, I just want to comment on your post about the solids and the pressure. I think I could write a book on this - and I think I have in previous posts. Why is your mother-in-law staying with you....??? If Kara's not sleeping it's because of Kara, not because of you! As mothers, we try everything to get our children to sleep!! Just use your instincts - and don't let your mother-in-law come between you and Kara - you're the mother here - not her. If worse comes to worst do what Beansmom did and scream at her

sorry ive been quiet not much to report on my side and ive been a bit lazy with the reading. I use huggies dry during the day and pampers active baby @ night. i works me out much cheaper. i use 1 pampers @ night and about 4 to 5 huggies during the day.

I'm going to use the Sleep and Play ones during the day (might as well, seeing as I have a bag of them). At night I use Huggies Gold or Pampers Premium. Emily just had a poo and the S&P seemed ok so yay.

Have just made up another batch of jungle juice - I really love that stuff. Not sure if it is placebo effect or what.

ScribblingAl I tried the sleep and play ones but found J peed right through them. I'm using the Pampers active in the day and premium at night (we were using premiums for naps but the bill at the end of the month was INSANE!) I love the premiums though. When I pick J up after 10 hours he is still dry and the nappy isn't hard or bulky.

*blush. I don't feel special because of it, it helps another child who needs it so I am more then happy to try.

@Claudia: Happy he is getting better. Breast fed babies aren't meant to get sick . I was going to ask you yesterday if you were using a humidifier, but then figured you are in durbs so wouldnt need one.

@ScribblingAl I also bought those ones before (sleep and play?). They only thing I found if I left the nappy on for just a little longer he would end up with those gel bits on him, might be a worse with girly parts (If you know what I mean?)

@Adri I sometimes have to make a real fool of myself and I only put up the smiley pics. But I can see there being problems later, he is too friendly. Anyone who says hi to him and he starts smiling, ultra friendly. Don't know where he gets it from as both DH and I are reserved.

I think G is defiantly making up for lost time. He is eating like there is no tomorrow. Hopefully just a growth spurt.
