@ Scribblingal - well EXACTLY... there was no way in HELL that I would have allowed hubby to get up and go home 5 mins into Toy Story! Anyhoo!

Thanks for the info on the sleep routine... i'm going to wait until the 3 month mark then start with the formula. We gave her 20ml after her last feed the last 2 nights cos she was still hungry - but she seems to be constipated now - (using Nan Pelargon bought by MIL) - and I can't find much info on that formula... so off to buy S26 Gold tomorrow...

PS I had such a giggle at your date night babysitter's anguish. Love the way she sent SMSs. What were you supposed to do, leave the movie???

Beansmom, I fed Emily, bathed her and then after her bath, just before we put her to bed, I gave her a little bottle of formula - so far it's 60ml - and she slept through until about 6am. The night before, what I did was wake her up at about 10pm and feed her a top-up. So far it's all just trial and error, but I'm really keen to keep her sleeping through till 6am.

Thanks for all the MIL advise.. I must say I had a little giggle last night though - she had the babysitting duty while we were on date night... and madam decided to scream the house down the entire time - well almost - she stopped an hour before we got home... We fetched her and she was an absolute angel all night!!! Now don't get me wrong - I feel terrible that my little pudding was so sad... but serves MIL right.. maybe she'll back off for bit now!

Date night was great - except for the constant sms updates on our screaming pudding... but we thoroughly enjoyed Toy Story 3... 3D movies are just great!!

@ Scribblingal - you mentioned a top up feed after bath that you think is working for night feed? What are you doing? Waking up once a night isn't too terrible - but it is freezing here at the moment - so if T could sleep through and miss the middle of the night feed it would be wonderful!

Hi ladies. Jacadebra, that could be it. Sometimes he burps 2 or 3 times and really loudly, sometimes he doesn't burp at all no matter how much i try to get him to burp.
Des and beansmom how was the night out? We watched toy story last week and took Liam with us. I fed him when we went in and he stayed awake for a little while afterward and watched some of the movie then fell asleep.
Bronz, i had the same problem after Liam dropped a feed at night but a few days later my body stopped producing milk for that feed so no more sore boobs.

Karla has been so difficult these couple of days... she has been throwing up a lot and I don't know why... she doesn't seem to drink as nice as she used to on me... I just don't know! Maybe it is a phase or something...

Bronz I also need help with the engorgement thing. Emily slept from about 10 to about 6 for the last few nights, which should be great for sleeping but it's not because I wake up at about 3 or 4 with the most excruciating boobs and wet PJs. Then I sit around and wait for the first signs that she's waking up so I can pop her on the boob for some relief. Any advice ladies? Maybe it's time to stop breastfeeding?

Desiree, I tried your topping-up trick after the bath and I think it's the reason she's stretched her night sleep. Thanks!!! How was your ladies evening?
