Meags - how did it go at the Museums? Any interesting history? My closest friend's dad lives in Kentucky, she is going over for 2 months to visit him. She booked her tickets last week- a bit sad as she will miss LG 's arrival.

Faw - I never had achy boobs, but I heard that you should put cabbage leaves on for some relief. It sounds like a blocked milk duct? Does massage help?
I don't think slight blood around the univocal cord is cause for concern... Just keep using the surgical spirits.

Schatsie - yay only one more month for you, enjoy it! Soon, soon you will have your little boy in your armsxx

Lucy and Tazzy, thanks for the advice re the leg cramps. I did forget take to my multivitamin on Saturday, so perhaps that is what brought the leg cramp on.

Kimika- enjoy the shopping. My Bil got married shortly after M was born, I struggled to find something to fit me. I still look pregnant in the photos arg.... Hope you have better luck than me. Love the matching pants - you can only do it when they are small and it makes lovely photo memories.

Afm- we had a wonderful day in Hermanus yesterday, we went up for a kids fun day. M had a ball, and so did the adults. He had his face painted for the first time, he choose batman and then ran around pretending to be batman. It was so cute- only sorry I never took my camera with. Only got back to CT at about 10pm- then straight to bed.... Thank goodness today is a public holiday, think I will just stay at home and rest.

Eish. Now i have a temp of 39'c and my one milk duct is painfull, but im coughing as well and nose is running. The milk duct isn't red or feeling inflamed, just painfull. So i don't know. It was painfull earlier today and when he drank it vanished. But he has been on it for ages now and its still sore. Will take panado and see what its like tomorrow. I don't feel like going all the way to fish hoek at this hour cos everyone has to go. So we will just wait.

Im totally with CAth, think we are going to have a super exciting week with lotsa babies being born Cant WAIT!!!!

Taz, hope the clot comes out before tues. yayness for the gushing boobs i was there with the stuffy nose, good luck.. i found nothing works!! im now on crusty eye putting breastmilk in his eye and wiping with cool boilt water.. hope it helps.

Joli, wow thats fantastic of him to lift his head so high!! strong boy you have there and cute!! I had to take him at 2wks and 4wks to weight but skipped the 2wk appointment as I know he regained his birthweight by 1wk old. Then 6wks will be injection and then again at 10wks and I think 14wks.. I think? all for injections.

Lucy, I saw the cutest white lion this week when I went paper shopping for my SIL's babyshower.. I immediately thought of you!! wonder if you have the same one that I saw??

Q1: bleeding will start as soon as baby and placenta is born, they will put in the pads for you while you cant move. They will also wash you if you have a bit of a mess, until you can care for yourself. With my first boy they even bathed me

Q2: with my steriliser I got a ..ok have no idea what the word is tangetjie? plastic one that you use to pick up the dummy's bottles from steriliser and then I put it on a clean towel to dry. You get those really nice drying rack thingies.. I think they are Munchkin's range.. you can def consider getting one of those. Also what i ahve for dummies is that soorther tree from Clevemama. I think Tazzy also mentioned she has one? THey are great as you can sterilise dummy in there and keep it clean inside until you want to use it. And only costs about R80.

Faw, hope you didnt hurt yourself too much You cant use myprodol. And I cant remember the name of the painmeds dr prescribed me since I never needed them again.

Girls, Im a bit stressed.. my brother's wedding is in 2wks and I still dont have anything to wear!!!! My tummy is still a bit flabby so I have to think carefully on what to wear. Its a morning/garden wedding. And going for a long shopping spree with 2 kids is a bit of an adventure. Will take my mom with but still.. argh.. And on top of that I still need to get shirts for they boys for the wedding too. Already got them the cutest matching striped jeans kinda pants. LOL.. ok so I know its cheesy to do matching outfits but we just couldnt resist buying them those matchign pants

Thanks for all the info regarding the bleeding post c sec and sterilising! I guess I have one more thing to mentally prepare myself for - hee hee.

Betty - I think you asked what a smart phone is ..... just a phone that has a computer on it, so can do internet and emails etc
I get those leg cramps often and what I do is double up on my calcium for 2 days and then it settles again. Good luck cos they are not fun.

Misty - Yay for the babyshower and how amazing of DH. Enjoy tomorrow and the time you have with your friend.

Faw - Glad at least the naming ceremony went well. I would be careful of myprodol while BFing as it has codeine in it!

Meags - hope your tummy settles .... it happens so easily! I am liking next weekend (or into the following week) for you, not sure why just an inkling.

Last night I managed 3 hours continuous sleep. That is so amazing, I feel like a new person today. It is the longest since the beginning of november. So a massive for me. FX I get it again tonight.

Phew, you have been VERY busy - it took me ages to catch up! Was hoping to hear Meags or someone else had gone into labour, but no such luck. Wish even more that I could report that I was in labour, but no such luck either!

Meags I agree, if my hubby took me out until 2 in the morning I would have flippen left him there and gone home by myself! Which part of being 39 wks pregnant does he not understand?! He really is totally selfish!!

Misty so glad you had a nice babyshower and wow on the poem, etc. from DH! That is really special!!

Cath, you really do always look and sound so happy being a mommy, in spite of the challenges. Hope I get to be such a happy mommy too! I also think there is nothing better on earth than being a mom! What a blessing!!

Shame man Faw, sorry to hear you're having such a hard time with your dad and your finances! Your brother really should be more supportive!!

AFM: Have had a very busy weekend so far: saw a lovely comedy at Theatre on the Bay on Fri, went to Killarney yesterday and then to dinner with my uncle from Holland and DH watched the Stormers/Bulls game. He was sooo excited that the Stormers had such a nice win and we had a lovely dinner.

Feeling absolutely exhausted and slept really late this morning, but having my newly preggy friend over for a braai, so no more rest for me. Looking forward to discussing preggy stuff with her!

Today it is exactly one month until our little angel boy arrives!! I really can't wait anymore!! Now would be a good time to discover time travel!

hope this works on my phone.. Ie you get my message. Are achy boobs normal? And painful nipples? Yoh i am tired of the achy part and i grit my teeth when baby starts to suck or i think ill scream the house down, its worse than labour pain.. But then i hardly felt the labour pain thanks to hypnobirthing.
My sons umbilical cord has been bleeding but is hanging on by a thread and i wish it would just come off. Must i panic about the blood and take him to be checked out? There is no puss.
My mom not coping well and has been sleeping since last night sometime. I tried waking her up and battled til i managed to shake her violently. I thought she was having a stroke. She had two a few years back but they were very mild. I am worried about her because what will i do if she has a stroke and a bad one? She has these strokes when she is very stressed like now. My brother isn't interested in helping us. He has made that very clear so that leaves me. I wouldn't have access to any money if it came to that as i don't know the pins etc. My ugly aunt won't help me either. I can't afford to have 4 children to look after. Anyway so i have been crying a lot over it. She woke up did what my dad wanted and went back to bed again. Probably doesn't help with the hormones.
Meags enjoy the museum. Im sure you will enjoy it and learn a lot about the history. I love museums.
Time to get Sulaiman to bed for his nap and to try stop the tears.
