oh yes Kimika - it is normal to have a bit of bleeding after the internal. You can either have it straight away or a couple of days later. She didnt do a stretch and sweep. But if I am still pregnant for the next appointment, I am going to ask her to do one for me as my mom arrives that evening so really want to get things going by then!

oh yes I wanted to say...I am growing quite concerned that my pelvis is a funny shape inside and thats why M is not engaging. Cos he is REALLY still very high. his bum is literally up against my ribs still. (when I lie down)

Anje - has L dropped?

Here are some photos of Cath with her precious W :)

Hi Ladies

Wow I am tired. I wonder if I will ever recover!!
We ate at 00:30!!!!!!!! I really didnt even want to eat at that point...i was so tired and my tummy was so sore from contracting I just wanted to go home.
We finally got home and into bed at 2am...

Anje your night sounds like you explained my night!
Matt had the seriously over the top alien movements and while I had a BH it was so incredibly painful. The baby seat takes up so much space in the back, that the passanger seat needs to be quite far forward and quite upright. So I was sitting there when we went to get DH's colleague and literally for that hours drive I had BH every 4-6 minutes, extreme lower back ache and period pains.
I just sat quietly and said nothing to DH cos he was so invovled talking to his colleague and saying nothing to me so I thought - screw you...I'll just deliver him myself on the back seat if this is it.

The pains were increasing in intensity and I really thought it was labour! However, I also really needed to wee, plus I was uncomfortable in the seat, so I also thought I wouldnt say anything to DH until we were out the car (to change position) and emptied my bladder as just those things alone can make me quite uncomfortable and get lots of BH.

It was definitely better once out the car. But for 3 hours I go BH atleast every 10-15 minutes. But the lower back ache subsided and so did the period pains. (so that must have been from full bladder and position). By the time we got home, the BH were about 15-20 minutes apart. I was so exhausted, I just thought "I actually dont want him coming now cos I NEED to sleep!"
Also, throughout the night I kept saying in my head "please dont come now Matt - I will never forgive your dad for not being 100% attentive towards me if you come tonight"

I was thinking since I only went to sleep at 2, there was no way I'd be doing my usual 3am wake up...well what a joke. 3am I was awake....refused to get out of bed so lay there drifting in and out of sleep. 3:30am woke up with sore tummy - had diarrhoea. then my brother smsed to say his girlfriend broke up with him (they've been together 6 years and he has spent the last 2 years living his life around her life plans...which has NOT been ideal but he has been patient and waited for her - she lives in CT and him JHB). anyway. I am SO sad for him because I know he is a really sensitive person and I think this is going to put him into quite a depression and he has NO ONE in JHB to support him. So I feel so depressed for him and so bad that I'm not there for him :( Im actually very worried about him and how he's going to cope.

Kimika yip u can ignore the friend request! When I told her she doesnt know you - she said "OH MY GOODNESS! I will have to apologise PROFUSELY when she comments on something of yours. WOW cant believe I thought it was the other Cornel" - so I said to her "Just leave it. it's really not a big deal, no need to make such a fuss about it to her!" and now she is pissed off with me!!! Sigh...I had to say something cos seriously...why must she apologise PROFUSELY to you?! it was a simple mistake?!

Yip Tazzy my DH is inconsiderate. He asked why I was pissed off - so I said "you can answer that I'm sure" which he did...but he still couldnt really understand what the problem was. He said I was more than happy to go out with his colleagues last weekend. so I explained that we simply went to dinner. We didnt go to an apartment to drink, then sit in a upbeat bar/restaurant for everyone to have cocktails and appetisers before eating dinner and only get home at 2am...but he just really doesnt get it! Sometimes I wonder if he really has ANY braincells linked to emotions.
Glad your milk supply is flowing well again!! And hope Amelia stays on 3 hours now :)

Cath I am going to post your pics for you now :)

oh so...no BH for me now. Seems we're back to normal with nothing happening!

Meags - I can't believe how inconsiderate you dh is! You poor thing.
I hope the massage helped a bit. I'm guessing M will be out by tuesday!

Lucy - enjoy your last weekend before Tessa is born. Wow you must be excited! How are you feeling??

Kimika - my gynae wants to see me again on tuesday afternoon. Bugger!

Cath - I also dip the dummy in gripe water like Kimika does. It makes her suck nicely on her dummy. I'm using the telement gripe water.

Anje - how you feeling today?? I think its a wise idea to stay home and relax.

Afm - woohoo! Amelia is back to feeding 3hrly again. What a relief! And my boobs are gushing with milk - I actually have to lie back while feeding otherwise she chokes.
My poor baba has a snuffy nose - I have put saline in but didn't really work. I've also tried some breastmilk.

Hey Kimika
W is exactlythe same whenever he won't settle and moans and groans (not crying) it's a trapped wind and my dh is great at getting them out. thanks for the advice re gripe water - no if you use it and are happy with it and they showed you at hospital it's obviously a standard thing and I will use it when needed. My mom used it for all of us in the same way you mentioned but it's good to hear that you use it when necessary and it's fine. :)
The weather is soo beautfiul - lovely ongoing rain so utterly divine to be home have not left the house all day - blissful!
I have a feeling there are going to be a few babies this week and not just LUcy's!!! :woohoo: Cathm

Tazzy, did you get reply from the gynae yet?

Maybe get one of those sleep wedges.. the ones that lift the matress?? They are great.. I just put a baby pillow under R's matress so its slightly lifted. He spits a lot when I put him down and have noticed a couple of nights now that he wont settle.. he doesnt cry, just grunts and groans for ages. Last night he did it again and hubby took him and patted out a huge wind! He immediately went to sleep! So I think its just a trapped wind that bothers him enough to make him restless but not enough to make him cry.

Meags, lol at hubby wanting to go away :) Thats prob the one thing you *shouldnt* be doing .. going on holiday! I just love your photies.. you look so gorgeous.. especially that one on the beach where youre lying on your side.. stunning!!

Ok so I guess I can just ignore the girl's request? LOL She does seem a bit strange :silly: Just ignore her and over the top comments, maybe she will stop?

Your hubby.. aaii.. actually he amuses us on a regular basis :)

Reuben's movements during that last couple of days was also much less and a bit different.. I could just feel him move a bit every now and then.. nothing of that alien movements etc.. Its a bit scary so every time I felt a slightest of movement I knew he was ok. And then when he was born he slept so much that I knew he prob slept all the time inside my belly too! :P

How are you feeling now after the massage? So the midwife didnt do a S&S? Is it normal to have a bit of bleed after an internal?

Lucy, glad you had such a wonderful birthday with hubby! Enjoy your Mleave!!! Is the nursery finished?? tick tock.. almost time for your little angel girl to arrive!!! yipee :) .. and great that you now have a phone to update on and send us piccies from !!!

Cath, ok so atleast I dont feel Im the only one too lazy to express :) And i also love those little smiles that comes through (unfortuanetly only winds) but then I can see how he will look when he smiles at me :) My oldest boy smiled at 4wks.. Reuben will be 5wks on Monday but so far nothing.. maybe he has to catch up on being 2wks early? Ok re the dummy and the gripe water.. I put a tiny drop on R's dummy when he groans and moans because of the winds. Makes him suck the dummy that also helps to get the digestive system going so he can fart out the winds :) They showed me to do that in hospital and I did it with oldest guy too.. works for me.

Emsmom, are you having fun with your sister?

Anje, oo that def sounds asif something is happening on your side!! How are you feeling now? Pls keep us updated! When is your dr back?? My cell nr is 0727552103.. oh excitedness :)
