Mistymom - glad you had a great day yesterday. Are you feeling better now? You sure do have a special dh!

Meags - just think in a week Matt will def be here, so even if things don't happen this week, the end is near! Enjoy the walking today, and the time alone with dh at the museum.

Betty - those legs cramps are awful. I got terrible calf cramps! if you take slow mag evryday it does help!

Did anyone see how beautiful the 20yr full moon looked last night. It was so nice and bright I didn't even need a night light!

Aah Meags - hang in there, not long to go, baby will be here soon. You have done a wonderful job being pregnant.
Hormones arg... Really hope you feel better, pleased your tummy pain is gone.
Great idea to go to the museums. Lots of walking and even if it's boring at least you know the walking is for a good cause..

Oh who was it who was going to Loftus? Can't remember now - but well done to our Stormers! What a game, I thought for sure the Bulls would win...

I woke up this morning with one of those terrible leg cramps. So so sore. It has passed, but my leg is still tender. DH seems to think it is from lack of salt. I just think it's from pregnancy....

MistyMom you are very lucky to have such a wonderful hubby-that is such a special thing he did for you glad you enjoyed the baby shower!!

BettyF wish there was progress. I managed to reach my cervix and according to be it is 1cm...not 1-2cm so I am really quite sad (every cm counts!!) Also just sore and really worried why baby won't engage. So had a good cry earlier. Not enjoying being pregnant at all today. I so desperately want him out now so I can just get on with life, be more comfortable, sleep better and have him in my arms.
Really feeling like he isn't coming before due date and thinking maybe my mom should come later.

Sorry I just feel so down at the moment joys of hormones. On a good note, that 'pulled muscle' pain in my tummy is gone. Tomorrow we are going to some museum so lots of walking.

Shew - so so hot in CT. Can't sleep, so I am in the lounge under the fan again...

Cath - love your pictures, you do look very happy, the love you have for W comes through very well.

Hope the colicy evenings for you and Joli don't persist. Colic is awful, you are tired, the baby is tired and there is not much you can do but hold and comfort them. I remember walking M up and down the house for ages, and he had to be held in a certain position... I never gave him colic drops, although occasionally I did put some of the wood wards gripe water, which I was given- oh and I used telemant drops. The gripe water, the sister clinic did not endorse, she said I should use the non alcoholic one. I never got the non alcoholic one and just stopped using the one I had.

Joli - Callum is getting so strong, can't believe he is already lifting his head like that ! Well done xx

Yes Lucy- after your c- sec, you really can't do much- I kind of felt like I had lost all my dignity- with the nurses washing, moving pushing, poking and fiddling with you. But I learnt very quickly that it's there job and there is no shame, also I was on so much drugs and in pain that I really did not care.
I used the miltons sterilizing system, I did get given a microwave one, but I never used that... The dummy was also wet. I did used to leave it to dry.

Faw - glad you enjoyed the naming ceremony and that your mom was there to support you.
Glad you got your stitches out, hope the itching goes away soon. Sorry you are having a tough time financially and with your Dad. Can't you get some maintenance from your husband? Or his family?

MistyMom- yay on a happy baby shower and being spoilt enjoy the spa and maternity shoot, it sounds wonderful.

Afm- my nieces party was wonderful, had a magic show which M really enjoyed.. Mainly he enjoyed playing with his cousins and all the girl toys which we don't have. I took the opportunity to have a swim, the water was warm- it was so Devine.. It was also wonderful to see my nephew - who is 4 months. Matthew is very cute with him - wanting to hold him etc. Let's hope it's the same when baby arrives.

Just popped in to see if any new babys!

Well ahd my surprise baby shower today...was lovely. Perfecvt CT weather...no rubbish stupid games (YAY)...and totally spoilt. Also at teh end was an envelope form DH with a lovely poem and thanking me f all the vomiting, swollen feet, heartburn etc for making us a family. He has booked me and my BF (also a surprise here from JBH) into a winefarm on monday for lunch, then a mommy safe pamper spa package and then a maternity shoot! WOW am I lucky

so been non stop day...got my friend staying with us until Tuesday (YAY) and it is DH birthday tomorrow (well today...gosh see it is already 12.45am)

everybody gone to bed but wanted to come catch up before i get left behind again cos know the next 2 days will be non stop!

Lucy I agree... Yesterday I was very hopeful that Matt would come this weekend. But I am no longer feeling it don't think he'll be here before Monday. I just hope that if he's still not here by Thursdays appointment, that there have at least been some more changes. Would be very disappointed for the midwife to say everything is still the same.

So we walked to lunch and walked home. I think we walked too soon after eating as I got a stitch type pain and now feel like I've pulled a muscle in the side of my tummy! So annoyed cos its so sore!! Would have liked to try another walk later. Just gonna rest now so maybe it'll feel better in an hour or so (I hope!!)

The naming ceremony went very well. My mom went with me and afterwards we had some tea. My mom then sat asking the Shiek tons of questions about the religion and afterwards my mom said to me that she could have sat all night asking him questions. I just smiled. Everything in Gods time. They only cut a little of my sons hair and the rest I have decided to leave on his head after all that because it is so black and beautiful.
AH is such a wonderful baby. He drinks for up to 40 minutes and then sleeps for 5 hours and then drinks again.
I had my stitches taken out. My mom took me to the clinic late and then refused to let me sit in a queue and then told me that she will take me to diskem to get the stitches removed. At the end of the day it cost me R92 and she decided that it was too much so I had to fork out half of it. I was a little pissed because I was the 4th person in the queque and it wouldn’t have taken that long to have it done at the clinic and instead I had to pay. I don’t have a lot of money left and will be getting half a months salary later this month, but my mom is taking that for food so I even though I worked I won’t see any of it. They pay from the 15th to the 15th. Oh well whats done is done. The nurse put a few supports over the middle part of my cut to support it. She said that I can take the bandage and supports off on Monday, but I am not sure if I am meant to re bandage it or not, so I am going to wait a bit longer than Monday although I am dying to get into a shower or the swimming pool. I am tired of using a basin of water to wash.
Today my mom went out to buy fruit and veg. My mom told my dad that she is going out. He obviously didn’t listen because she yelled at him when she got home. He wanted to go outside and down some stairs in his wheelchair and he wanted to go there NOW. He has no patience and I told him I couldn’t do it, but no is not in his vocab. So I tried, but obviously don’t have the strength to. So he nearly went flying out the wheelchair and I made myself worse for wear and then my dad was so kind as to swear at me and complain. For 6 hours later I sat holding my body parts praying the pain would go away til eventually I begged my mom gave me something stronger than panado. I curse for not writing down the name of the painkiller I was using which has run out. Joli what was the name of the painkillers you used please. I went back to diskem to ask them to give me something but they told me I can only use panado which we will know is rubbish. I used myprodol last time eventhough I was breastfeeding, but don’t know if I can actually use it or not.
My whole tummy is itchy and all I want to do is scratch it or rub it all the time, my mom says that it is my body healing itself and I must just live with it.
For some reason I cannot catch up on the posts at the moment as it won’t let me see any of the messages from page 312 thereafter. I will try get them so I can catch up.
