Meags I am so glad you know what is cooking now, I do hope he starts getting used to the rice milk soon. It must be very stressful when he doesn't eat.

Missesmom- yippee for everything coming together. Hope today goes well too. The reason behind job change is that my main product became generisized while I was on mat leave, our market shares naturally dived and they are certain they will have to down scale the role shortly which could mean retrenchment. In the meantime another position is currently vacant. They think I am highly suited to this new role and would rather I take it now than have to shove me in any role later or if nothing available at the time ....retrench. So they are looking out for me and it is a good position, same level etc but it is hard to leave my current customers who I have such good relationships etc with. It has been 8 years. Anyway I am warming to the idea and far less emotional about it. The one big upside is that it is more flexi time so ideal for Tessa.

14 week jab day, grr! I believe there are 4 this time. She still has a bruise and hard lump from the last ones.

Shame man Meags! Well hopefully it'll get better. My Mat also had allergies to soy and dairy as a baby - (along with a long list of other things) and he doesn't have any today at all! So perhaps your Mat will grow out of it. (maybe its a Mat thing )

Meags sorry to hear about Mat, but at least now you know! And it'll be tough but he wont starve himself, perhaps get someone else to give him his feeds, as he assosiates you with the other milk. Glad you are feeling better on your meds!

Anje, enjoy the haircut!! I had mine done today, nothing hectic but left Kate with our Domestic for 2 hours while I did it.

So our nanny starts tomorrow, I'm so looking forward to it! I love having a clean house, happy baby and getting my work done

just a quick one. Matt's allergy test came back positive so he is now not allowed cow milk or soy. he is on some sort of rice formula.
they say perhaps he never had reflux to begin with and maybe the allergy is the cause for the crying, cramps, vomitting etc.

he does not like the new formula (I had tried it in USA for a few days and he refused it...) so not sure how to get him to drink it...he threw a total tantrum at the 3pm feed. before that feed he had only had 60ml all day so he is starving but terribly stubborn and ended up crying himself to sleep before finishing the new milk...sigh...
hope he adjusts to the new taste soon....

Hi all, wow, what a busy week and it is almost Friday again. Looking forward to the weekend, L has her 1st kiddies party on Saturday and on Sunday a very close friend from Cape Town is visiting with her little girl who turned 1 recently, whom we haven’t met yet.

I had a wonderful weekend, it felt so weird not to have L with me on Saturday at the baby shower, it felt like I forgot something at home and hubby coped rather well with her on his own. We decided to keep her in our bedroom until after the winter.

My brother’s little girl was born on Tuesday via C-Section at 34 weeks and weighed 2.5 kg, she had PET complications, not sure what it means, will probably see them the weekend and my boss’s grand daughter was born on Sunday and weighed 3.4 kg. A whole lot of little girls around us now.

I am going for a haircut tomorrow for the first time in almost 3 months, for some strange reason I am really looking forward to it.

Faw, congrats on the new job and hope A gets better soon. Shame, how is your dad, is he home yet? Enjoy your aunt’s visit.

Betty, I forgot to mention, when we nebulise L, we give her some physio as well, it helps a lot, but glad M is better already. Hehe, on camping out in the lounge.

Kimika, wow, sounds like there is no way R could be cold at night.

Meags, ag shame, poor Matt, hope you do find a solution. Matt is so cute, so I am not surprised that the family wants to see him all the time. Some people are just not comfortable with babies and the babies know it, I am sure your MIL will enjoy him more when he is a little older. Enjoy your stay in France, I really would have loved to meet you on Sunday, but unfortunately won’t be able to make it. Glad you are feeling better.
