Hi Ladies

Hope everyone is doing well.

Woo for me it has been a pretty stressful with my last post being about preeclampsia. I have been to see two different doctors just to be safe and also just get opinions from different people. And guess what when they both tested me the protein seems to have cleared away. They explained to me many reasons that could have caused the protein to be in my urine which could have been caused by something I ate, or also not having had enough liquids that weekend. Which I can believe cause when I am at work I really do drink a lot of water but when I am at home I just seem to slack a bit on my water intake. I have however learnt my lesson.

So Thank YOU @lillyr @TCS84 @Vendah @Dieswartkat @betti for all your words of encouragement. At least now I know me and my baby are well.

Honestly I am also starting to get very impatient. I just want to see my baby now. Want to put face to this little character that keep same day and night :) . Its really a humbling experience to go through and I love every minute of it. Right now I am suffering from very bad pelvic pain. I think the weight is starting to take its tall on my body. I can literally feel that my body is starting to tell me that its taking strain considering that I have grew up with a problem with my hip. So my right side takes so much strain and I think my baby also seems to be enjoying pushing only towards the right side of my body. Is there anyone else also struggling to walk due to pelvic pain?

I was initially going to leave work around the 10th of September but the way it is just hard to get around for me now I decided to just finish end of August which I am looking forward to cause I am just so exhausted. But we are almost there. :) . Its amazing to also see how fast August is going I mean its the 12th today in 2 more weeks and a bit we have reached our destination month.

Being a first time mother I thought I would be nervous by now. But seems like for me it still has not really sinked in. Maybe once we hit SPRING DAY it will sink and I will start feeling that yes it is time now. Or is it normal not to be nervous?

Hi Girls,

Saw the doc yesterday for my 34 week appointment, baby weighs close to 2.7kg already! One more week and he'll be the same as my daughter was at birth, and with 3 weeks to go he'll most definitely be bigger than his sister.

I also have intense rib pain and lower back pain, but my heartburn has subsided completely. Nausea also gone, hopefully I'm done with that now.

I didn't have an internal exam previously. I've heard that the doctors sometimes do one where the baby is breach and mom wants to have a natural delivery. They then try and rotate the baby, but as far as I know it's not standard to have a vaginal exam in late pregnancy.

Otherwise I'm still busy at work, have about a zillion things to do workwise and personally. I'm finishing work on Friday in 2 weeks, can't believe it. Busy sorting out my UIF things, gosh it's a lot of instructions and paperwork!

I'm still trying to finish my nursery at home, should be done after this weekend. Send pics of your nurseries if you've finished yours, would love to see it

Hi Ladies

I have no idea about the internal exam. I'm seeing the Dr on Thursday. Will be 36+5 days. My doc is not around so seeing the stand in. Nervous but let's see how it goes.

On Sunday was my baby shower. My mum went all out: was Sooo pretty and special... I got lots of gifts too. Need to do a few returns etc.

Everyone says I won't last till my due date that August is going to be it. My tummy hadn't dropped tho... He's moving as normal.. I don't know.. It's so hard to just let it be and not wonder when it's going to be the day..

Betti I have no idea if a Gynae does a vaginal exam at 36 weeks or anytime. I have been wondering same and also not looking forward. With my last pregnancy I was seeing a GP and Midwife only and there was no such thing. Wonder what they would want to check? Hopefully someone can shed some light for us on this subject!

I have my 36 week appointment on Thursday afternoon (I'm 36 weeks today). A friend told me they do a vaginal exam at 36 weeks...does anyone know if this is accurate? If so, I'm REALLY not looking forward to it...

This is my last week at work!! Training my temporary replacement from today...what a mission, poor woman...goes to show that I've grown accustomed to crippling stress. Oh well...

Hi Ladies,

How are you all doing today?

I am suddenly very uncomfortable. Rib pain is killing me and even just moving around a little leaves me breathless. I have read that the breathlessness will improve once baby "drops", but that can happen weeks before birth or only whilst in labour. I moan and groan all the time haha! Weird how I have forgotten how uncomfortable these last weeks can get.

TCS84 - I am also getting really impatient. Can't wait to see what this little girl looks like and to just hold her in my arms. Am looking forward to having a little baby to rock again :)

I love the names that you all have picked. Astubchen the way you described your baby's name made me teary! So special.

Betti - I developed eczema on my tummy I think. The skin got really dry as in peeling dry even after me applying Olive oil, Oh lief tummy butter, Palmers tummy butter and Bio Oil religiously. I was so sure that I could see stretch marks on my sides. Then I started to apply Eucerin's Aquaphor which is very vaseliny, but won't clog pores. That totally transformed my skin. No more dryness and I am not even sure if it is stretch marks on my sides anymore. The marks have not tuned darker or red yet. So waiting patiently and hoping that its just my imagination.

Does anyone have a doctor's appointment this week?

@DieSwartKat: Happy Birthday For today!!! wishing you all the very best .. :woohoo:

@Betti: I havent noticed stretchmarks yet but i have a feeling i may be getting them soon. Been the same routine since the beginning as well so i was really hoping not to get them, apparently afte rthe baby is born, you can get marks from your tummy shrinking back to normal as well?? anyone heard of that?

anyone feeling really impatient? i am.. Not because im feeling horrible or anything but just want him here now... this has really tested my patience. i am very very very impatient at times. anything thats exciting and new, i hate waiting. i want it now!!!! hahaha
