Drat! Anybody else starting to notice any stretchmarks? Didn't have a single one on Thursday and then on Saturday morning I noticed a few beginning. They seem to be getting bigger, but luckily they're not dark. And this after I have been religiously been applying Bio Oil AND Happy Event since I was 4 weeks pregnant!! Darn growth spurt! But I guess they're battle scars

Had my babyshower on Saturday; was so special and beautiful. Got SOOO many clothes and lots of the more expensive things I was holding off on buying like a breast pump, baby monitor, etc.

Turned 35 weeks yesterday and this afternoon is my final antenatal class. Can't believe how time has flown by!!

Hi ladies, seems like we almost at the end of this journey.

Ive been struggling badly with Braxton Hicks they happening so often that yesterday night I nearly went to the Emergency Room as I thought this was it,they have subsided quite alot however they do seem to get worse during the evenings.

I went for my 34 week appointment aswell yesterday everything is fine, baby is growing so much and cant wait to meet her!Another thing well im scheduled for my c-section on the 29th of August which is in 3weeks!So nervous...Im no longer due September, bummer!!Hope I wnt be kicked out hahaha

In terms of names we have decided on one -Lwandle which means Ocean(that is how much we love her,and how much we want to see her grow and her dreams/prosperities be as large as the ocean)

Lastly ladies in Durban theres a massive sale at Woolies things marked down up to 75% off, what a bargain I got! So many things I bought, mostly 3-6months and 6-12months as I feel I shouldn't buy too much for the first few months since they grow so fast.

Hi Girls,

I'm still battling my way through our busy season at work, things are still very hectic but will hopefully calm down in the next week or so.

I'm 33 weeks now, next appt on the 10th. Baby was 2.1kg at last checkup (last week), but I remember that they fatten up quite quickly during these last few weeks and expecting at least a 200g gain between last visit and next one.

TCS, 2.5kg is still so tiny! He should make it to at least 3kg, which is ideal. If you carry to 40 weeks he'll probably be closer to 3.5kg, just perfect.

Berry, I also had a toned-down ladies lunch for my baby shower. Much (MUCH!) smaller than the previous one, and both my husband and daughter were there. No games, just a nice sit-down lunch. I opened my gifts between main and dessert, and it wasn't a long drawn-out thing. I was still pretty tired at the end though! :woohoo:

Love the name you picked, Ayla. Unusual and sweet. We picked Dehan for our son, also not very common but still proper Afrikaans.

Anyways, I'm off again. Stole a few minutes to drink tea and check up on you all. Bye for now.

Hi Ladies!

@Vendah: its so sore that you dont know whether to cry or laugh.. i hate it!!

@ Berry : We are struggling with names. cannot find one we both agree on. we have made a short list but none have really made us feel like its the one! sooo difficult..

i had my DRs app yest. 35 weeks some change. all is well. Baby boy put on 350g in a week!!!! he is now 2.5kg .. i was shocked... My doc wont be here for 3 weeks, not 2! he returns on the 30th. he said i must just get plenty of bed rest and baby will wait for him to return so he can deliver him... i do hope he waits... the Dr covering his is apparently really good and very nice. im meeting him next week at my app so will judge for myself..

i ordered my pram today ladies. online shop called The Pram Warehouse. anyone heard of them? I couldnt get an isofix base with the pram i wanted from babycity. they not prepared to sell the pram separately to me.

last antenatal class for me tonight... time has certainly flown by!

Hi Ladies,

Had my 33 week appointment today and baby weighs 2.2kg. My next appointment will be in 3 weeks time on the 31st of August at 36 weeks. Doctor says she thinks that will be my last appointment haha. Getting very excited now :)

I am yet to have my baby shower and am also not keen on the games etc. Did the whole eating sour worms out of flour and dressing up last time. Hated all the guessing. I mean how hard is it to guess who bought what gift! My Stepmom really went out of her way last time and everything was so lovely, but to be the centre of attention is hard work :) This time around I have requested to have my partner included in the shower somehow so that it's not all about me. Will have to wait and see how it goes.

We have finally decided on a name for our little girl - Ayla :) Have you ladies decided on names yet?
