Hi Moomies

I posted earlier and before i could load the video my PC hung so I lost the post. I was just popping in to say hi.

I went to see the doc this morning for my 26 week scan. The baby is growing very very nicely and is very busy. Weighing 1.16Kg's already and my due date seems to be 4 June 2012 and not 14 June which is what my dates are. My Ceaser is set for 4 June anyway so I should be 39 weeks then. I am also able to have a Doula come to theatre with me, I had hired a Doula but we wern't sure if she would be allowed in the theatre, We are very excited that they Doctor was so accepting of it. He is actually even quite excited.

Anyhow I have one of the 4D videos here for you to see.

Hope everybody is well and feeling good. My Baby seems to have a favourite spot too and it's right on my bladder. MichelleJc, you 4D pics are beautiful!

Hallo Everyone,

Had a very nice, but tiring weekend. Weekends are getting too short for me! Started off with a very blue monday, but at least monday sorted itself out, and things are looking up again once more!

Firefly, baby also has a definate favourite spot and unfortunately it seems to be right by my bladder. My husband jokes and says it's like a waterbed for him!
I haven't made any decisions with regards to the birth yet, except that I want to try to give birth naturally. I don't know which hospital to go to, though. Probably either Eugene Marais or Femina Clinic. Does anyone have any reference to these hospitals?

Michellejvv, Love the scan pics. They are so special.

Champers, good to hear from you again. Unfortunately I don't have any experience with GP's. My mom is a theatre nurse though, and she says there are gp's who work just as quickly as the gynaes. Maybe you could try talking to the hospital staff to ease your mind.

Another busy week for me ahead. I have art class tomorrow, in Auckland Park for training on Wednesday and Risk management workshop in Braamfontein on Thursday.

It's what keeps life interesting, ne!

Hello all you gorgeous mommies!!!

I'm glad you all sound like you are doing well. Gorgeous pics Michelle! Thanks for sharing! Glad the stone has passed firefly!

What are the stats looking like now? More blue or pink?

So I must get a local GP to deliver Gia. There are no other gynes on the west coast. I went in to make an appointment and I have the first available app in 2 weeks time. Since I'm supposed to see her every 2 weeks now, I thought I'd better make the next app too. Well she is away on leave and then fully booked, so the next app can only be made for 6 weeks time rather than 4.

Has anyone else ever had a GP deliver your baby? I'm shitting it

Hi Ladies :)

Michelle - I'm so glad to hear that your dad's op went well and that he is getting good treatment. I'm sure you must be so relieved. I will pray that he has a speedy recovery!

Anni- congrats on the girl! :) This means you're going to keep all your girl stuff? You are going to have SO much fun shopping for baby girl clothing when you get here, they have the most adorable stuff and if it's on sale, it's also incredibly cheap. Good luck with the packing!

Adele - at least there's a reason you've been feeling low. I hope the supplements work.

I'm doing well, had a really hectic week but it's calming down now. I am just about halfway through this semester, which panics me because I still have so much work to do for my paper plus lots of classes!

Baby is doing well, he jumps around a lot during the day. He seems to have taken up residence mostly on the right side of my tummy - does anyone else feel like their baby has a favourite spot? Although he will move to the other side if dh talks to him.

I'm supposed to be going for a gestational diabetes test soon - I have to drink this glucose solution and then go in for bloods. Do they do this in SA?

I've also finally decided where I want to birth and am going to make an appointment with the midwives for next week :)

Hi Anni, Congratulations on Team Pink! Enjoy your holiday.

I finally got hold of my doctor. Apparently he did try to call me. I better go see if they got my number right.

My iron levels is really low. So I have started on Ferrimed. He'll monitor and if my levels do not pick up sufficiently, I'll go for a Venofer drip. At least now I know why I am feelling so crap. Hopefully the supplements will start working in a couple of days.

At least it is midweek, although another busy weekend ahead. But I decided to take things a bit slower this week, to give the supplements a chance to start working and my energy levels to pick up a bit (hoping).

How is everybody else doing???

Hello All,

Hope everyone is doing well.

We did our morphology scan last Thursday and I am happy to announce that we are team pink! I really thought this one was going to be a boy because my earlier symptoms were completely different to my last pregnancy. Just goes to show that every pregnancy is really different. My placenta is anterior high which is great news for both natural as well as c-sec if it comes to that so thats another relief for me. Bubs is sitting quite close to the cervix but in a good position. She just refused to show us her face during the scan but did point and then wave. When you do these scans it actually makes it feel more real... that there is a little human growing inside. What a wonderful miracle it is. :)

Busy prepping for our upcoming US holiday so thats been keeping me busy. I am not looking forward to packing up house when we come back. Just so many things to worry about. Its 7 years of accumulated goods so its going to be a tough one!

Hope everyone has a great week.
