Newborn and baby advice

Morning Everyone!!!

Well I had no internet over the weekend..thank you Iburts but I have sorted it out.

I'm glad to say Liebe is in a routine ,I'm saying this as her drinking and sleeping has been the same for a week.I'm so happy because I was stressing as she is going to creche in 22day ;-(

After being lazy most of Friday I took Liebe to be weighed at the clinic and at 9 and a half weeks she weighs 4.8kg and is 60cm tall so from birth she picked it 1.8kg and grew 10cm.

Mommy21 , glad that the doctor doesn't think something is wrong and glad that you are also going for a 2nd opinion.

BOJ , how was your weekend away with Luke and how did his first long drive go.

I'm so depressed , i've had my period twice since birth , the first time the doctor gave me meds to stop it but now it has been back for more than a week.I'm so tired of it.I JUST WANT IT TO STOP!!!!!!!!!!!

@Mommy21 - I think a 2nd opinion is a good idea, even if it's just for your own peace of mind and nothing else. Glad to know your LO is still feeding well.

Hi Mommies


So we went to the dr. Showed her the video(if I could upload her I'd share with you ladies) and she seems to think its just random newborn movements and that newborns sometimes have no control of their body! She also asked if she wasn't angry or upset when she did it as it could be her way of telling me she doesnt like something.

I will be taking her to another dr tho Tuesday( I pray nothing happens till then) for a 2nd opinion and also we have an appointment with a baby massager monday to see if she can't help. I think we'll try a Chiropractor also. Is there a difference between a baby massager and a Chiropractor?

I am keeping an eye on her and hoping she doesn't have another suspicious episode. Have my camera on stand by also! Oh the dr wasnt worried because she is still feeding nicely and is getting quiet big, the dr asked if I was topping up with formula!

Anyway ladies hope you and your LOs have a lovely evening and sleeping nicely!

The paed was assigned by my doc - Dr Kerner... she is next to the breastfeeding clinic... and seems quite nice... but damn pricey according to the bills i've got back from the hospital visits! So will take Tayla to the 6 weeks appointment, but may be looking for a new doc thereafter!!!

@ Pinky - seems like our babies have a very similar routine, good to know.

ScribblingAl - I'm also on the mini pill, got my periods a week after starting it, doc said it would be random, we may not even get a period, but myne just couldn't wait to come back!!!

Beansmom - who is your Paediatrition, we have Dr Gerrit De Villiers.

Luke is busy sleeping in my arms and its going numb, gotta go put him down...

Another thing... Joburg ladies, do you know a good paediatrician? I am suppose to go to Dr. Li at Olivedale Clinic, but he is VERY expensive... now I have made and appointment with Dr. Leschner... also at Olivedale.. any of you know him?
