Newborn and baby advice

Desiree, Operation Breastfeeding isn't going very well at all. She screams for more - 20 mins after she's been on both boobs. I was so low yesterday that I didn't do a single feed! I expressed instead and this morning I topped up the breastfeed with breastmilk instead of formula And I'm back on the drugs. Stopped the eglonyl because I googled it and it's quite scary stuff. But I admit that I do need help, both with the depression and the milk production, so I'm back on it as from yesterday. I get so jealous when you ladies say that you express 130ml in one go!!! Which breastpumps are you all using?

I can also do a weekday get-together - once I am able to drive again. Have been in so much pain. It's situated under the Caesar wound and is so sore when I use those muscles - getting up or sitting down, picking up baby etc... Going to the gynae this afternoon so she can check it out.

Morning ladies!! Well, Connors night time routine has been a little off since the injections, I've had to wake up 2 - 3 times a night since then *yawn* - here's to hoping it corrects itself soon!!

Connor is fighting his sleep this morning, he he, he's been up since 4:15am, he he, I'm going to see if he will finally have a little nap - can't wait for the weekend because then my hubby does the night feeds and I can sleeeeeeeeeeeep, he he

Hey Des, sounds like you've been busy - that's a good thing when hubby is away - makes time fly by quickly. Happy 2 months to Connor for tomorrow!!! I'm sorry Connor felt so yucky after the vaccines.. thank goodness he is feeling better now. Amazing how quickly they grow out of the newborn stuff.. yay for growing nicely though lol

Pinky - I'd also be able to do a week get together if anybody is keen. Pity the weather cooler because there are such nice places to go where you can sit outdoors etc... Lia loves staring at the trees etc from her pram.

Shame Beansmom - hopefully the Chiro helps for little Tayla. Cramps really are a bugger. Luckily in a few months they should be history as the little one's gut gets stronger and less sensitive.. until then though we have to deal with it which sucks.

Yay for big smiles Bundle - I'm also loving Lia's toothless grins... melts my heart every time!!

As for washing powder etc - this time round I use normal washing powder and stasoft - what ever I buy for the rest of the house. Would never do that when I had my son but do now and she hasn't had a rash or any issues.

Tomorrow we are going for 8 week vaccinations etc.. aaaargh.. not looking forward to that.. poor baby.

ScribblingAl.. I'm also fine with a happy fatty lol. Nice that they have a bit of meat on them anyway because once they start teething/ or if they get sick it sometimes kills their appetite.... so at least our babies will have reserve fat stores to see them through these times LOL. Besides, they lose the chubb once they start moving around anyway.

Hey ladies - I'm waiting for my hubby to arrive home, he's been in cape town, and will be home for 3 days before heading back to cpt again - boohoo, but at least I get him home for a few days hey?

About washing powders, etc - I've been using the Annique Baby Rooibos range of washing liquid and fabric softener, I buy it from Baby City and so far, so good - I like the product, it is a tad pricey, but I'm a fan of the Liquid washing liquid!!

Ooooh, I went clothing shopping for Connor today. Couldn't help buying loads of really cute stuff but got quite annoyed at how much bigger the girls section is to the boys, in EVERY shop - I mean, come on, we do want our boys to look good too you know!!

I can't believe that Connor is 2 months old tomorrow, its unreal how quickly the time has gone!

We also went to the clinic on Monday (for her 14weeks vacc's). She wasn't herself yesterday and had a slight fever, but was much better today

@Des - great news about Connor growing so well! Hope he feels better now and that you get some sleep tonight.

Lientjie, I've been using the Sunlight Baby in my front loader and it works just fine. I don't know why they said it's not for front loaders.
