@Beansmom - how long does your baby sleep for when you've given the sleep tonic? Has the sleep improved since you started using it?

Vaccines went ok, Lia screamed blue murder but seems ok so far *touch wood*. She is 5.8kg's and 57cms so she has grown a lot lol.

ScribblingAl.. I honestly thing the thing that impacts worst on your supply is the depression. If you can address that you will almost certainly increase the supply. I even find now on days that I'm a bit depro occasionally - my milk takes AGES to let down and Lia fusses a bit.. this coming from me who tends to be a cow with all my milk. Glad you are going to the doc - hope you can sort out a plan of action because feeling the way you do is not on. Have you been stuck at home the whole time? Not getting out seems to compound the depression (I know you can't drive yet).

Re the breastpads - I breastfed my son for 21 months and stopped using breastpads when he had gotten himself into a feeding routine which was before 6 months or close to then at the latest. I did find my one breast use to leak when my milk let down whilst feeding but somebody just told me that each time your milk lets down while feeding, you just press down with a finger onto the other nipple (that usually leaks) and keep doing this and eventually it wont leak. This did the trick. Jems, that sucks that you had to wear them the whole way through.. wow.. how annoying.

In a way I wish the "full" feelign and look my boobs have would stay for the entire b/feeding duration but unfortunately soon they feel pretty empty most the time.. which sucks when they're as small as mine lol.

As for the PP bleeding - with my c-section I spotted for almost 8 weeks!!! With a strange bout of heavy bleeding in the middle somewhere. With the natural birth this time I bled heavily for a few days then just spotted for 3 weeks.

I breastfed Jade till 16 months and had to wear breastpads all the time! Blady pain in the ass. So sick of feeding bra's already and Troy is only 4 and a bit months!

ok - that makes me feel better... i thought the spotting may have been due to the cervix tear... so was a little worried!!!

@ Bundle - I'm using a Medela electric pump - the cheapest one - sister-in-law leant it to me and it works like a charm... i didn't get all 70ml in one go - got 50ml first express and then only 20ml from the second... but Tayla didn't feed well when i got the 50ml. Then last night she had the bottle and then fed off one boob and i expressed the other and only got 40ml out...

I tried going without the breastpads cos I'm not leaking all the time - but then woke up with a wet tshirt and bed! Not fun at 2am!!! So decided to rather be safe with them on that have to find a change of clothes early hours of the morning!!!
