@scribblin, my tummy is also VERY sensitive just above the wound area... not nice at all!

@mommy21, good luck, hope all went well and that it is not bad news!! Holding thumbs!

@Bundle, Karla also stays awake a lot in the day but at night time she sleeps between 6and a half to 8 hours.... I am glad about that.. I feed her every 3 hours...

@Des... HAPPY 2 months... Time is going by so incredibly fast!!!

Karla is doing well!!! We went to weigh her today and she weighs 200 grams more! She has picked up 1 kg's since birth!! I am so happy she picks up weight real good!

Ha ha, NickyW you made me laugh because I'm also sitting here in my PJs. My stomach area still isn't too good. It's very swollen just above the wound. Went to the gynae yesterday and she said it's not infected, thank goodness, but I have to alternate with a hot pack and ice pack and massage it. And there's still no driving for me, I'm afraid. Have to go back in 10 days and see if she'll give me the all-clear. She's also put me on the mini-pill, although I don't know what the point is as 10 days is still a way away...

Mommy 21, damn! Hand expressing! I can't even get it right with a pump. I'm back on the eglonyl so we'll see. Maybe I'll be hired by Clover one of these days Thinking of you lots as you're taking your little one to the doc. Hopefully you're just over-reacting and everything's a-ok, and you come home with good news and peace of mind.

Beansmom, I also noticed a major difference after we took Emily to the chiro. She's a lot calmer now - none of that desperate screaming - and the cramps seem to be better as well.

@BOJ have a lovely weekend with Family and I am crossing fingers Luke sleeps through the whole trip!

Yay its the weekend soon. Love it cause then hubby is around to help out

Tomorrow we are going up to Robertson for the weekend, My in laws have a house there so we all going up. Luke's first Looong drive...hoping he sleeps through!

Luke seems to be awake for 1hour 30min after his feeds, then sleeps until his next feed. During the day he feeds every 3 hours, then stretches it towards the evening and then has a 7 hour stretch at night so I get some nice sleep in. He falls asleep straight away after his feed during the night, thankfully as I'm usually half asleep!

Mommy21 - hope everything with your LO is just fine. Well done on the hand espressing, sometimes I don't even get that much out with the pump so that is wonderful. Gosh imagine when you get your pump you'll have no problem getting a full feed!!

Beansmom , I had natural birth and bled for about two weeks.Then at 6 weeks got my period and doctor gave me meds to stop t cause it went on for 7days and eventually ended with the meds on day 10.I then went on the pill and have my period now again.Im so tired of it , just wishing it away , cause I want to do the deed but it seems like it is never going to happen.

Mommy21 , poor little girl , I would also go to the doctor you never know and as they say you can never go to the doctor to much with a baby.I hope her sleep gets better.Wow congrats on hand expressing you deserve a medal!!!

Scribbling I agree with Jacadebra that the depression can affect the milk supply.Stress can also impact on milk supply , I still think that is what caused my milk to dry up.How's your tummy muscles feeling now?

Well I'm having a pajama day today , it's windy and I just don't feel like doing anything.I think Liebe is getting into a routine , she drinks every 3.5-4h and her sleeping is getting better.I'm using the behoedmiddel and it really works , specially when she is niggly.It really calms her down and I think it makes her sleep better as well.I've only used it twice but it does the job.

Morning Ladies!

I've had a rough couple of days, my LG has gone from sleeping 4 hours @ a time to sleeping for 1.5hours. I am taking her to peadiatrician before her 6 weeks appointment as she might have seizures. In the beginning I thought it was just newborn movements and the moro reflex but last night her legs and arms started twitching so bad and when I tried holding them gently to try stop them the twitching wouldn't stop. It lasted for about 3 mins and I took a video of it to show the dr. Do you ladies think I am worried for nothing, I am rather safe then sorry so we'll be taking her in. She has also started having sleeping sounds she grunts so loud she gives me a fright but when I check on her she is fast asleep, the sounds dont worry me they apparently normal its just the twitching!

@ScribblingAl hope the breastfeeding is going a little better and the pain of the c section is getting better! I had abdomen sugery a few years ago and everytime it gets too cold the place where they cut me gets sore.

I wash my LG's clothes by hand using the green sunlight bar, I know it sounds like hard work but thats the way I've always seen it done. Then I use baby stasoft. Our clothes go into the washing machine. its only baby's washing that gets the special treatment.

Breastpads I go through a box a week, its costly but my breasts leak very bad.

My PP bleeding stopped after 3 weeks in the beginning it was quiet heavy but eventually got lighter about 3 days later.

So I was reading from your posts that starting the bottle too little might be a problem as baby might not like it and since I dont have a pump(getting it next week) I hand expressed while I was in the shower and managed to get 70mls from both breasts and gave it to my LG just before bed time and she drank from the bottle just fine! So thats our routine lately, I hand express and give it to her, then top up with the breast Can't wait to get the pump and maybe I'll be able to express full feeds.

I am hoping all goes well at the dr and she tells me its normal as I am worried! Hope you ladies all enjoy your day and LO's sleep peacefully and soundly!!!

@ Desiree - when she is not on the sleep tonic she gets about 1 1/2 hours sleep before waking up again - but only feeds every 4 hours... at night with the sleep tonic she sleeps for around 3 hours at a time...

After her chiro appointment today she has been sleeping a lot better though... and a lot more peaceful sleep... before her hands would be waving around in her sleep!
