My older sisters have such wonderful memories of having sleepovers at their friends houses and my parents were never really friends with their parents.

My MIL is scared of everything in life, from thunder to cars you name it and I think she prevented her children from doing a lot of things that children should be doing (or allowed to do) and I think it is directly responsible for the crap relationship she has with her eldest (the rebel of the family)

Married for 13 years

Nope - Kayla already knows - no sleeping out. I don't have to tell her why. It's real. These things happen. But ya, we are all different.

My sister's son was in primary school and his mom dropped him at a kids party. When she went back to fetch him, all the kids were standing on the pavement crying etc. The adults were drinking and a huge fight started and they started throwing stuff around, hitting each other. That's mild. I won't tell you what happened in my childhood.

But don't mind me - it's just my rule :)

I also didn;t like sleeping over at other people's houses - they always just seem so weird!
